What ppl don't seem to know about Celine's performance is the venue. This show was a french version of American Idol and this was the finale and Celine basically said "F#^@.. IT" and "well, if all of these young girls insist on singing mine, Whitney's or Mariah' s then I'll remind them that Tina was one of the firsts to do it all" and she also said that young performers should study both Tina and Freddy Mercury because "they both have Great voices but onstage they were SECOND TO NONE". And that is why she sang this in Tina's style..as utmost tribute and respect. And one of her favorite songs to sing is River Deep and Mountain High and after all these many years of singing it she still changes the words to include Tina.
