Hey guys!
Once again a great podcast with a very interesting topic especially for us.
Interestingly enough, yesterday - around the same time the podcast was released - we were walking through the botanical garden here in Cologne and were talking about our future plans, goals and dreams after our van trip to Australia 🇦🇺 🌏And guess what?! A villa in Bali that we can partly use for ourselves and partly rent out was definitely a valid scenario in our conversation. Such a good Omen! 🥰

I hope that foreigners who come to Bali, really think about what you invest in Bali can provide appropriate benefits for the local people.
Sometimes I feel the irony between natives and foreigners,
local residents with low salary standards find it very difficult to own land in their own country/build a business in Bali, price continues to rise because compete with foreign price & is impossible to achieve,
with small capital for start business & cannot compete with foreigners
We totally agree with this, we love how the land rights work here in Bali so that the local people will forever own the land we are building on. It is our goal to help provide for local families, make their land more valuable and give them secure job opportunities.

Apart from the bank where can I invest a good amount of money, I have a strong feeling they are ripping me off.

Is this Greed? I make 6k weekly from a trader who trades for me, I know this is a good ROI but I still want more, lol its never enough I guess.
It’s not Greed if it’s a calculated risk, the more money you make the more doors you unlock.

This is a bit misleading, your saying to lease a villa for 25 years for 250,000. and your saying you can rent it out for 300-400 per night? no one is paying these prices per night, average villa rental for 1 bedroom in main area of Canggu is about $60-$100 per night MAX! So therefore you are misleading saying someone is willing to rent your 1 bedroom villas not in the main touristy areas for 3 to 5 times the price? good luck. ALOSO NOTE THAT THE 250,000 You invest doesn't actually get you the villa you are just renting it for 25 years and you don't own it!

Bali is full of abandoned villas .
Their is no guarantee when your lease runs out the owner will renew the lease .
Their are many stories of the owner not renewing the lease this is the gamble and community holds a lot of power in Bali not the Government if the community decides they don't want you there nothing you can do if you challenge them they will turn up with a mob and destroy the villa in a matter of hours .
