This is genuinely incredible, ive always been really partial to slingers story and how a dog eat dog world turns good people into people like him, not bad people(although now he definitely is to an extent), but “just doin their job”. And how he has to push his conscious to the side to survive. We see this in the end of his lore where he purposely goes to a prison cell to be held till he’s actually incarcerated. Love the idea of his past bleeding into the trials, and making a kinda lore way of sayin why killers give hatch sometimes. Am i maybe over analyzing, absolutely, is it still cool? i think so
From the panels to being edited and voiced was an amazing step up. I genuinely love seeing this side of your work and can’t wait to see more

Super cool stuff here, I like the idea of Caleb kinda breaking free from the Entity for a moment. Really cool concept seeing Killers gain their free will
Deathslinger is one of the few humans in Realm who doesn't want to kill (unless intentionally for defense)
I love the comic! Love the implication that lore wise killers give the hatch to survivors in a brief moment of humanity, like the entities grip is loosened if even for a second

The entity: Deathslinger why tf you let that survivor escape?!
Makes you wonder if certain killers would have a breaking point from killing too much.
I like how it seems that most people see the Deathslinger between an old cranky bounty hunter, which unless you wronged him personally or someine had a bounty on your head wouldn’t bother with you, and play into the fan lore that the Killers with White Eyes see the Survivors as those that wronged the Killer/that the Killer would have an actual reason to want to harm the Survivors. Thus when his leg gave out on him he either had flash back to someone that was while not physically harmed by the Deathslingers actions was still affected or that just that temporary fall or laps allowed him to see that the person infront of him was not actually who he might normally have saw them as.
This was cool. I Like the contrast, between him being enthusiastic and filled with glee at the start but then consumed and drained in the second half.
I remember see this on twitter and wow having voice and sounds to it just makes it all the better. Really makes me want a Caleb tome already.

What an absolutely fantastic comic! As a Deathslinger enjoyer who appreciates his lore and sometimes gives hatch, this comic was perfect.
Well drawn and well made. It reminds me of that fan film where trapper hesitated to kill Claudette but couldn't control it. Not comparing but I find it interesting that killers like here could spare survivors but not sure how the entity would feel afterwards. It opens up questions to the lore.
