I had a 75 Pinto and put a 289 High Performance Motor in it! Put a full race cam with solid lifters and had 202 Chevy valves with a Torker Intake and installed Headman Headers on It! The Heads came off 302 Boss and the springs were performance springs and I put a 410 gear in a Ford 9- inch rear with traction bars! I also put a seven inch snorkel scoop on the hood. This little street car ran low elevens in the quarter but probably could have ran faster with a few modifications! This 289 was Wicked!
Nick, the hi-po 289 comes with 271 HP , and 4 speed, K-Code , right above the 289 badges is the Hi performance logo. Sought after Mustang if still mostly original.
