Bought one two years ago, I’ve taken two deer with it. I got mine on EBay, and got 6 Rage crossbow broadheads with it, a $100 dollar value. I shot one deer with the hyper bolts they give you, and I was disappointed with the penetration, it was a shoulder blade hit, so I started using some bloodsport bolts, a little heavier, and I’m well pleased with them. I also bought a silent crank made to fit this crossbow, if you use a crank, make sure the butt plate is all the way forward.
I like a 4 grain bolts with a 100 grain field tips on it ! Carbon bolts ! Just right on it and the reason why is in the future you want have a break on the limbs !
All these bows over 400 ft per sec the LIMBS ARE. CRACKING BIG TIME... SO YOU BETTER BUY HEAVIER ARROWS AND HEADS. JUST WATCH ALL THEM VIDEOES. I AINT SHOOTING MINE TILL I GET HEAVIER SHIT. SOME OF EM CRACK ONLY SHOOTING IT 5 OR 6 TIMES.
i got mine last august-limbs broke twice now-i went w 325gr arrows and 125gr broadheads- still crack twice=-ill see how long this thirs set lasts den do a video
is upgrading the heads from 100 grain to 150 grain enough? The HYPR lite bolt without head is 270 grain by itself and comes with 100 grain head, so total from 370 grain to 420 grain good enough?
Ya we figured it out and got it fixed. Thank you! and thanks for watching I still get tongue tied doing videos sometimes. It's different once camera starts rolling
Hey is that ideal for protecting the limbs from splintering? I'd only like to know because I'm interested, but keep seeing this reoccurring problem, and nobody wants that failure if it could be prevented by heavier bolts.
@Draw Straw I would definitely have to say yes to that. I have the boss 405 and prior to it being stolen the 1st time. I've fractured my limbs shooting the factory weight bolts, and after many hours of videos and dozens of different questions, I learned how to rebuild my crossbolts. I increased the bolt weight, including the broadhead to 550 grains. 400 grain bolt, broadhead weighing 150 grains itself, I added a 110 grain brass insert after removing the factory insert,
@Draw Straw Keep in mind I do shoot the boss 405. I shoot the swat X1, I shoot the fatal X and I also shoot the furious pro 9.5. I do not shoot the factory weight out of none of my crossbow,, My minimum weight eye shoot is five hundred grains,, 550 being the greatest out of the boss 405. I also shoot a mission sub one x r and I do not shoot the factory weight out of that one either,, 500 is the minimum I will shoot out of it. This is not saying that my limbs won't fracture splinter dilemma or anything like that. However I am saying I haven't had that issue any longer,, I've gone through extra measures also adding an extra set of limb dampeners, String stop or string bumper that I add it to my fatal x,,
@@tygappleberry5571 right on man thank you. I will get it, but refrain from any shots until I construct the right weights and following your direction sounds like a sure thing. Um one more question though.. What are limb dampeners? I until, if you should respond will be doing much research.
Call killer instinct and complain or take it back to the place you bought it. You got a new crossbow with the old style scope. That same thing happened to me yesterday when I bought mine. It didn't match the sport shops display. They replaced the scope with the new updated lemux 4-32 no questions asked. That version you have is awful.

Ya I use rage as well
Hello, I am looking at this crossbow for turkey hunting and eventually deer hunting. Are you still satisfied with it? Thanks
Yes I am.
I put my scope all the way forward, and shoot with the stock all the way forward also.

I would like to see its actual chronograph speeds. See if it actually makes that's claim 405 fps. Which I have my doubts.
does it come with a belt strap ?
If the strings are across the rails its gonna rip the fetching off!
Ya we figured it out and got it fixed. Thank you! and thanks for watching

Carbon Express PileDriver bolts and it will kill deer reliably. Great bow.
I love my pile drivers with red luminocks
Kinda funny I did the same thing with the string putting it together I was waiting for you to acknowledge that🫡🤦🏻♂️
Yep! Lol I did it..haha
How hard is it to pull back? I wanna get it for my grandfather
I do r think it was hard, but not sure how old or in shape your g father may be.
I strongly urge you to increase the bolt weight to 550gr,, imo,
Light is not good for penetration, I did get heavier bolts.

You better look at the instructions again and do it right ! The strings is not put on right !
Yes we figured it out and fixed it
Another guy using a very dangerous Technique to put arrows in
How much?
They run $325 right now
Bought it on Amazon for 269. More if it includes crank.
you have to put sider in the other way
Not what I have on the stock of the crossbow! You microphone was to close by the way.
Interesting.. Thx for the suggestion on the mic. I'll remember that. I'm just getting started on youtube so a lot is new to me👍

You can tell from the illumination knob the old version is on the eye piece. New version is at the windage/elevation turret.
