It is interesting that I am just learning about Dominican Bouyons. I did NOT know anything about it growing up in the Southern English speaking islands. Interesting! Out of ALL the islands, I think the ONLY music we do NOT play was Dominica's and that is probably because most of their music was done in creole and a lot of us do NOT understand it, but we played music from Casav and it is the same language. I discovered Bouyons totally by accident when I was listening to Djeasy's old school mix and naturally my curiosity got the better of me and I went searching. It is a beautiful music, though. Thank God I found it! I CANNOT get enough of the selection, "Nom la!!!"
