Brother, if you ever over inflate those tires, you risk impacting the top end of your garage door. That is a tight fit, but I'm sure you had the clearance question dialed in early on. Great vid - keep em coming!
If you think that starter is heavy, try lifting a diesel starter for a 1978 Olds! That durn thing was twice as long as the gas starter found on the Rocket V8 350 cu in. They used the same block on that early abomination of a diesel so I kept the diesel starter but dropped in a 73 Rocket V8 Gas engine. Had to rebuilt it twice in the years I had the car but it never failed me in the coldest of Ohio winters! I recall reading that Hummers are known for ground issues and there was some making a ground spider for correcting the problem. I know the had a wire going to the alternator ground on the original diesel.
Great to see you back again. And FWIW I hate wiring as well. Especially on ex military trucks. When I got mine, whilst still in the military, someone had painted the truck, including all the wiring, in drab olive green. So every wire was the same colour. I had to completely strip out all the old wiring and start over. Really pleased that you got it running.
Coming along awesome! Interested to see what you do for your interior. I've got sound deadening in mine same as yours but haven't yet figured out how I'm going to lay the carpet over it.
where dose the breather on the top of your power steering reservoir go. mine goes no where but the end is stretched out like it was on something at some point
I get most of them from Ace Hardware. I just take out a few of the bolts off the humvee and take them in there to make sure I get the correct links and thread.
I've enjoyed seeing these on youtube.... Most people just dump the humvee after a year of ownership because they slow on the highway. You duramax'ed it, so does this go up to 70 mph now? It sounds different, but hey, if it goes up to 70 and has an AC, then who cares.
Always entertaining when Jimmy's around. 🤣🤣🤣
This was the best video I have seen this year. Great to see Humvee back. Jimmy Rocks ..

Where do you buy all of the grade 8 bolts for the frame and suspesion?
Is there a list of all that is needed?
I get most of them from Ace Hardware. I just take out a few of the bolts off the humvee and take them in there to make sure I get the correct links and thread.
