When the reeker almost one-shots you at 16:20, that is its charge attack. Reekers and wardens both have said charge attack and it can be dodged. When you see the reeker stand still or the warden cross its arms, that means its going to charge so you should run away, which evades its charge.
@TemplateName technically resistance 5 is complete immunity but parasites have minimum damage so you'd need 255 regen and 255 health boost with resistance 5
Another tip: if you want to survive the adapted and ancient parasites, I suggest getting advanced protection on your armor (it goes to level 4 I believe but is rare) as well as finding strengthened vitality on your chest plates (it gives you extra hearts and goes to level 3).

To be specific it was a "tyrant long arms" and there's another variant parasite which is the assimilated big spider it's characterized by the spots on it's back being white instead of red
I noticed how when cobwebs saved your life once in a cave, instead of just thinking you got lucky and movin g on, you grabbed the cobwebs and used them in all your other fights. Now that's thinking on your toes. You may be the weakest, but you're at least a very helpful support. You've got good range, you can stop things in their tracks, and you rebuild the walls and traps in the middle of a fight. (and you're the only one consistently carrying a shield with you everywhere you go, for when you get cornered) 31:07 I mean, swapping from Ian and Spaghetti getting swarmed by 20+ parasites to a few blocks away in what looks like the deepest bowels of hell, to you chilling with your horse at full health cracking jokes. I mean, you could have at least tried to help But when everyone was brought to rock bottom, you just did better (since you had the most experience with rock bottom lol)

It seems like Ian is worse to have in your minecraft world than Herobrine sometimes. Sometimes he's helpful, and sometimes he actively sabotages everything because he's bored.
This video has made me come up with a revolutionary new way to handle parasites. Place doors underwater and hit them from where they can't hit you. Have a way further down. Mobs tend to float after all. Or better yet build above land... then cover your base with water.
wouldn't they swim through the water and then smash through your base? Also what if a water-specialized parasite spawns in all the water you've placed?
You are probably the first youtuber who has properly done a series on scape and run to this extent, this videos are amazing to watch and i love how they're always 30+ min long please keep making more videos like this
Excited to see the world become a parasite biome probably in the next episode. There's some very interesting tree like structures that spawn there, and red grass iirc. Good work on this episode!
I have another scary mod suggestion for you guys! Its called "Cracker's wither storm mod" if you've played minecraft story mode you know what it is and if not its still terrifying. It would be really fun watching you three try to beat it. (You have to spawn it in first) + (it crashes with shaders on and optifine is a bit problematic if i remember correctly) Another thing: you can actually BEAT the witherstorm.
Yeah me and Ian definitely want to try that as the next mod to play. I don't think spaghetti will be able to run it though so it'll probably be just me and ian.
They'll have to play on 1.16.5 or 1.18.2 (or 1.19) to get the mod to work as it's not getting backported to 1.12.2, but it's still a great mod and I'd love to see them fight it.
@@troubled_boys Spaghetti's PC can't possibly be worse than my 10+ years old laptop, although from my experience that Wither ends up being annoying due to all of the lag it causes and having to wait an hour or so for it become vulnerable will be quite miserable but doable.

Right? I was slightly worried for the series when they were talking about adding in more and more gear, but all of that just leveled the playing field against the infection instead of trivializing it.
@@Thorngot After playing this mod a lot the past 6 months, it's truly difficult to trivialize the parasites. I have mods that add indestructible building materials, and blocks that run a /kill command on anything that touches them, and the parasites are STILL a force to be reckoned with. But it's still fun.

You should try the Ancient Warfare 2 mod. It adds craft able npcs you can command to mine, farm and attack mobs in an army. You can craft ballistas and cannons that you could set for the npcs to use and defend a base. The mod also generates custom structures with the same type of custom npcs you could command making it quite a fun challenge to loot and conquer. I’m pretty sure you can disable this feature in the config if you only want “craft able” npcs. Would make a fun addition to any 1.12.2 modded play through. -it’s also compatible with other mods such as mowzies mobs and ice and fire adding custom made structures that utilizes the mobs from each mod. Great Job on the video as usual! :D
In the case of SRP it just makes them free parasite fodder as they'd all quickly get COTH and in turn spread it to the players in mass and give the Parasites a massive boost in points in general. Unless you make them immune to COTH it would be more deadly to yourself.
One third tip that I have not tested as much as the others but is still good: the weapon enchant “Rune: piercing capabilities” is insanely powerful vs parasites. It gives you armor penetration, and since parasites have a lot of armor, it should give you increased damage vs parasites. I believe this enchant is very rare, but if you ever find it get it immediately. Edit: just tested it, with no damage adaptation it gives around 7-10 extra damage against an adapted bolster with a dragonsteel rapier.

Just so you know, sprint jumping is slower than normal sprinting when you have speed, because of the multiplier on your sprint, it’s more effective to just run than the acceleration that sprint jumping gives, atleast for short distances I think

@@danelassiter6809 yes there is a phase 5 beckon but the thing is beckons can spawn naturally in world evolution phase 3 and they can grow to that phase and yes the are a immortal boss parasite

@@troubled_boys Another can be teams, actually; One controls Parasites in creative, giving the others 5 Minecraft Days to prepare (Though they can only spawn the Parasites that each phase can spawn, and must follow the rules of those phases, but when the 5 days are over it starts on Phase 3 where you can place a Stage 4 Beckon anywhere in the world the players need to destroy) And the survivors just gotta survive or destroy the Stage 4 Beckon. Like above they have 5 Minecraft Days to prepare, and depending on the stage they have you can spawn the mobs against them.
I think it would be awesome if you guys played Crackers Wither Storm mod. It's a mod that introduces the Wither Storm from Minecraft Story Mode, although you don't need to know anything about Story Mode to enjoy the mod. It will continuously hunt you down & evolve being a constant threat, although not one that's too intrusive on the gameplay. I personally think it's a fantastic mod & would love to see you guys play it!

I wonder if you can get into a position secure enough to start building some sort of facilities, the documentation type, if you haven't already dug up everything on the wiki I think it'd be great to pop some parasites into a sturdy stone room and see what happens, would be cool even if you already know!
Sort of late to the party here, but the main thing you should take away from this is that parasites are not meant to be face-tanked. Most of the features we add are directly against that sort of playstyle. like the parasites, your strongest weapon is your environment. Base design is key. If you are to go up against a parasite, I recommend either ranged or lava/fire traps. Praying off of pure dps alone isn't intended for the mod, which is why we added a damage cap. Either way, love the content. Binged the whole parasite series while texturing some new stuff for the mod. Feel free to dm me on discord if you have any questions. :D
Yeah after this "world" of parasites I wanted to go back to the basics of base building and playing around the parasites instead of halbread spam. I definitely think it's more fun when you are aware they are strong and you use brains against them instead of brawn.
i recommend adding "parasites addon: overlast". it makes the game a ton more interesting, adding a configurable seasons, sanity, and 'evolution level' bar to the game. also adds a few potions to help against parasites.
Nice episode, if you want to have some fast defence you could make a 5 wide 2 block deep line and fill it with lava + cobwebs outside its really basic but will give you enough time to kill any land parasite safely, it seems you guys dont want to overabuse their weakness so this should be okay (your in phase 4 so you should make some basic defences)
The living helmet and chestplate cant be crafted because they used certain items from srp in their recipes. These items were removed in a recent udpate
this trilogy is amazing ,if only they had made their base in the ocean ,I think the base not bein connected to land wouldn't have been converted to infected blocks.

the main reason they die isn't avoidable with protection, the parasites have minimum damage.
By the way, to fix the slowass swimming in 1.12.2, I recommend the mod Aqua Acrobatics, it backports 1.13 swimming mechanics.

One controls Parasites in creative, giving the others 5 Minecraft Days to prepare (Though they can only spawn the Parasites that each phase can spawn, and must follow the rules of those phases, but when the 5 days are over it starts on Phase 3 where you can place a Stage 4 Beckon anywhere in the world the players need to destroy)
And the survivors just gotta survive or destroy the Stage 4 Beckon. Like above they have 5 Minecraft Days to prepare, and depending on the stage they have you can spawn the mobs against them.

I think it would be awesome if you guys played Crackers Wither Storm mod. It's a mod that introduces the Wither Storm from Minecraft Story Mode, although you don't need to know anything about Story Mode to enjoy the mod. It will continuously hunt you down & evolve being a constant threat, although not one that's too intrusive on the gameplay. I personally think it's a fantastic mod & would love to see you guys play it!

Loving this series! I wonder if you can get into a position secure enough to start building some sort of facilities, the documentation type, if you haven't already dug up everything on the wiki I think it'd be great to pop some parasites into a sturdy stone room and see what happens, would be cool even if you already know!

Sort of late to the party here, but the main thing you should take away from this is that parasites are not meant to be face-tanked. Most of the features we add are directly against that sort of playstyle. like the parasites, your strongest weapon is your environment. Base design is key. If you are to go up against a parasite, I recommend either ranged or lava/fire traps. Praying off of pure dps alone isn't intended for the mod, which is why we added a damage cap.

Yeah after this "world" of parasites I wanted to go back to the basics of base building and playing around the parasites instead of halbread spam. I definitely think it's more fun when you are aware they are strong and you use brains against them instead of brawn.
Game play tip; use more of the mods armor and weapons. They deal damage that the parasites can't adapt. And for phase 5+ is going to be needed

i recommend adding "parasites addon: overlast". it makes the game a ton more interesting, adding a configurable seasons, sanity, and 'evolution level' bar to the game. also adds a few potions to help against parasites.

Nice episode, if you want to have some fast defence you could make a 5 wide 2 block deep line and fill it with lava + cobwebs outside its really basic but will give you enough time to kill any land parasite safely, it seems you guys dont want to overabuse their weakness so this should be okay (your in phase 4 so you should make some basic defences)

The living helmet and chestplate cant be crafted because they used certain items from srp in their recipes. These items were removed in a recent udpate
