Twin Lakes is stunning with the majestic view of Taal. The sunset is mesmerizing 🌅
The left turn that you missed brings you to Fantasy World and down to Lemery town. Lemery was where the original Taal town was. It moved to the present site after a destructive Taal Volcano eruption. The 1st capital of Batangas is Balayan town. Usually the province name follows from the name of the capital. After Balayan, capital was moved to Taal as Taal became more progressive because its near the lake and where business flourished. After the mentioned eruption, the capital was moved further to now Batangas City and the province became Batangas. It was moved there so that when Taal erupts, the capital is not damaged...
Not far further from twin lakes is the famous calaruega Church where you can have breakfast with an awesome view of nature. Also check out the abandoned Fantasy World Then going back home from Tagaytay you can check out famous Ayala Nuvali lake and if your heading Aguinaldo highway checkout the Acienda Outlet Mall
Had the chance to stay in that Splendido Hotel few years ago. If your room is facing the volcano view, try to witness the early sunrise and what you will see is really breathtaking. Same with the sunset.

You can do camping and or glamping above sea of clouds. Overview of Sierra Madre Mountains. The longest Mountains ranges in the Philippines.
Which helps cover Metro Manila when typhoon arrives.
the views are spectacular and I feel proud to see the beauty of my country. I'm here in Toronto Canada and I haven't visited my Tagaytay place since 2019. And to think I was taking everything for granted just how beautiful it is! Hoping to visit this holiday season.

I remember when I came back to the Philippines years ago and I was saying beautiful weather- it was February - and my Ph-based friends found it funny that I kept saying it. Sometimes we don’t notice what we see everyday.
If you happen to see San Nicolas town, thats also part of Taal before becoming a town itself. You will see Pansipit River which links the Balayan Bay (which is sea water) to Taal Lake (fresh water). A special type of fish grew in Taal Lake because of this called Maliputo. You should try that. You have tried Tawilis fish. Tawilis and Maliputo are endemic in Batangas. In Taal, go to the public market and get some of their famous Tapa.
The fantasy world would have been the disneyland of the Philippines. Construction had long stopped years ago. It was never opened to the public. The project seems to have been abandoned due to the owner’s financial problems.
Nasugbu is where Mt Batulao. It has nice churches famous for wedding. Further down will bring you to the coast with places like Punta Fuego, Tali Beach, Pico de Loro. Along the way, you will see Centra Azucarera Don Pedro but I heard they stopped the sugar milling business recently.
'Pasalubong' is something you buy (not for yourself but,) for your friends and loved ones that you've left at home, and that's mostly food, but it can also be other things like souvenirs. While 'Souvenir' is something you buy for yourself to remind you of that place where you bought it. It can also be a gift for your friends or loved ones. So, Pasalubong is not quite a souvenir, but close.
This vlog is one of the exciting and unexpected turn-outs of a riding trip. The joys of the rides and exploration while loosing your way to your destination, then you suddenly get to discover unexpected things or views. Hehehe. I miss doing motor joy rides these day when I am here stuck and busy at work. Huhuhu. ✌️😥✌️ 😂😅😊❤🎉 Thanks for bringing us with you, Mergim.
Mergim, I understand that you are curious about things and I've noticed you look to the locals for some assistance, in part it's good. However, you often ask the merchants for information and/or look at the stuff that they are selling. Those merchants look so hopeful that you might purchase something from them... but once you're done with whatever you're vlogging you walk away without a purchase. I understand that you might not have wanted material goods from them but it's interesting how it all goes down.

We think the word souvenir is only a halfway translation of the Philippine word “pasalubong” and that a more complete or contextual translation would be “souvenir items not for one’s own keeping but rather for gift-giving to friends and family as a gesture of affection, thoughtfulness, or courtesy.”
Twin Lakes is just an awesome spot to chill and relax. Always a good time in a Megaworld township. 👌🏿

It's in Taal, Batangas where you can take a boat ride going to taal volcano then you can hike climbing until you reach the crater, that was before when it has not erupted yet. I've been there with my wife before... 👍
Yes. Cars do speed up in that well-paved stretch of Tagaytay-Nasugbu road. Relaxing views too.

Next time, try Pico de Loro cove (Hamilo Coast) in Nasugbu Batangas. It's an exclusive resort, quite expensive but lot of wonderful amenities. Their white beach is scenic specially the sunset and you can do island hopping, it cost a little bit more but it's worth a try.
