- With the return of David Tennant as the Doctor - a NEW Doctor at that - he has a whole new costume. Frankly, it's pretty awesome... so let's dive into it, shall we? Today I'll be breaking down all the elements and as usual, talking about the screen accurate pieces and the alternative bits!

Worth noting the “real” coat is a solid-colour tweed with a lot of subtle details you won’t find on a store bought one, including the cuffs. It’s also fun to note that the coat has a top-pocket and is only a third lined, as it’s designed for filming in the summer. Dark-blue navy coats are relatively common, though, although I’d recommend searching for military-inspired coats where possible as there’s lineage with military styling (as an example, I have a long double-breasted vintage police coat that works well).
The Fourteenth Doctor's outfit does a good job of mixing the ratio of browns and blues compared to the Tenth Doctor's suits. I'd say the trench coat and neck-tie are what make this costume age a bit from the materials used but that's just my perception of what I see as vintage clothing.

I just received my Cosdaddy version of the 14th Doctor Who full outfit! It's been updated with one exception, the coat only has three wholes. It should have six in total. Three on one side and three on the other. Aside from that it is beautiful in its splendor from top to bottom.

Yeas, the checkered coat for the 15th Doctor could be the 14th Doctor one!!! Double uses!!!
The brown and blue waistcoat and trousers are the EXACT shade of brown and blue for 10s brown pinstripe suit while the blue coat is the exact same shade of blue as his blue suit (Albeit missing the red pinstripes, could have added some red lining or piping around the pockets as a visual reference but the coat is amazing as is so not complaining)
Great video my friend. Though I'm a bit dubious about David Coming back I must say, your tutorial like all your other videos is great fun to watch and very informative. Thinking about making my own costume tutorial video heavily inspired by your work. Good luck with the fan film series, look forward to seeing it.
