I agree. Future SexLoveSound is a masterpiece, I will never get tired of listening it. And the concert blew my mind, it’s my favorite I still go back to watch it time to time.
This man's best songs are consistently the last minute or two of his longer songs when it switches. Always the best part, especially on 20/20. I still bump that double album to this day.
I know what you mean by "switch" - and I fully agree - but there is actually a constant, more subtle change in songs like My Love and Lovestoned that makes the bigger "switch" more gradual (or entirely gradual in My Love, which makes it so special, imho - the song sounds completely different in the end).
LoveStoned is an unfairly good song. A masterpiece. A 12 out of 10! That entire era was a masterclass in how to sell and deliver top-tier music. The album hasn't aged a day. Everything about My Love is insanely well done, not just JT's falsetto (which is, of course, great), but also the production, the style of the music video and the crazy good, creative and smooth choreo. Btw.: Nothing in the song or the choreo loops, it's all dynamic ! Elements repeat, of course, but there is always something added, changed or swapped around. The track starts with a minimal beat and JT's falsetto, then the strings come in, then JT's beatboxing, then Timbo's beatboxing on top of that and then the interesting, futuristic "beeping" sound that gets more and more pronounced alongside the Hip Hop beats as the song progresses - until it's basically just the beeping and beatboxing at the end.
Sexyback live is incredible. Justin live is amazing. Expensive but worth every penny. Can sing and dance at the same time. Amazing songs and choreo and production. 10/10 one of the best live performers for Me ❤
