Unless the dog has an allergy, In moderation, it’s perfectly safe. Not chocolate and a few other food items but, just like people, it really depends on what each dog can tolerate.
Dobermans are so smart that he might actually need to save the peanut butter to get him to do stuff. I really want to find a doberman now to see if PB would distract them long enough that they'd fall for the fake toy throw. But I'd probably give Bear the jar too.
