I did this once . A Harley mechanic told me I was ruining the geometry of the springs, and you will not only ruin your struts and warp them, but also will be less safe when you ride because the dampening is now almost non existent I ended up just buying shorter shocks
I don't see anywhere that you answered questions below in the comments, ........ specifically ~ what manufacturer, cost, and where did you buy the lowering brackets?
The ride quality is actually better with the kit, compared to without the kit. The center of gravity is much better as well and I feel like I have more control as well
Can you show us the biggest tire you can put on your bike without having to make any modifications? I’m going for the same look and we have the same bike. I’m buying these lowering kits too!
So I just got a confirmation from a couple harley specialist shops that the stock size is the widest you can go for the rear, without having to modify the swing arms. Although for the front, you can go up to a 110/90 but you would have to remove the front fender. And nice!!
im surprised you got a 150 tire on without hitting your belt drive or the bolts for the fender, check your lower belt n guard make sure its not rubbing, depends on the brand of tire you should change to a chain and change the rear fender to be safe
I want to lower my 2017 XL883N and i checked HogWorkz, with the result there is nothing available for the XL883N...i tried it but the answer was: Does not fit on your motorcycle. Can you recommend another manufacturer ?
Thanks for the clear instruction. I always like my bikes low cause I'm such a short dude. Bought the parts and will attempt to do this today.

Just got a nightster as well ! Looks very similar, keep up the motivation.
Where did you get these brackets from? What website? I have a 2007 Sportster 1200 C.
Could you use this bracket on stock shocks?
Do i have to re-adjust the belt strength if i loosen the rear bolt?
thank you , KooZairy
what was the length of the shock you started with
Do you have a link for this ?
Hi, I´m about to order that kit too. So you recomend? It feels safe??
Could you link the product please
Where did yoi get the brackets
Can you link me with the products? I am interested to see if it would work for my sportster.
Thank you for this. I've just received my lowering links.🇦🇺
Do you still have this? How did it hold up over time? Doing it to my iron soon
My wife has a 2021 883 iron will this kit fit her bike
Yes it should 👍
How’s the ride quality vs without the drop kit

How was the ride after lowering it?
Surprisingly it was still pretty comfortable!

What it looks like to me is that somebody needs to make a new kind of axle that can receive the lower shock eye.
how did it ride? rougher?
It appears that you need upper spacers for suspension
Great video and you saved me some good money.🙏
Which progressive shocks are these?
What handlebars you running?
Hi! Do you know which fender this is, it’s not the stock one right..?
Hey there! So it is the stock one but it has been chopped up and modified to make it that "bobber" look, from the last owner's work.
@@koozairy oh that edge on the chopped end looks pretty good! He did a nice job. Thanks for the videos!

Are you having to lower the front as well? Or can you keep it stock height?
There really isn't a huge need for it. I would just keep it the stock height and lower the rear
How tall are you? I just ordered mine. I feel my bike is to tall for me.
I'm 5'8. It fits perfectly on me. If its's too tall than you might have to lift the bike
