- In F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story "At Your Age," Tom Squires, a fifty-year-old wealthy man, becomes captivated by a young blonde pharmacist during a routine visit to a drugstore. Despite his age, Tom feels youthful and yearns for the excitement of youth, leading him to pursue a friendship with the much younger woman, Annie. As they spend time together, their relationship deepens, despite the disapproval of Annie's mother and societal expectations. Tom grapples with the implications of their age difference and his own desires, ultimately leading to a complicated emotional journey.

Well done! Great music choice.
Thank you ✌️
Too bad we have to learn the hard way. 😭😢😓
The Passion of youth, well that's one thing. The person that drives us along the years oh well what are you going to say
Fantastic.
As a single 50-something year old man, I hear this story as a cautionary tale. I calculate that Annie would be deep in her 80s by now. So the moral is: never date older women. Also, if you see an attractive young lady at her place of employment, just ask her out then and there, even if she is uninterested. She will appreciate unwanted attention.
Kidding! I really don’t understand when my contemporaries go gaga over younger women. I mean, you’d sound like a museum curator when discussing your record collection. In some oblique way, every conversation becomes about your age. How boring!!
😂😂😂
Tom was grateful for the pain
❤
Sounds like he'd been there.
If it was now , someone would be trying to press charges.
(Not saying that's a bad thing in inappropriate circumstances though.).
Times change, hearts stay the same. ❤️💔❤️💔
AI pronounced coop as coo pay! Is that the way it's said in Britain?
What’s the name of the music that played in the intro
Agree. An American voice would be better suited for telling any Scott Fitzgerald story to be honest.
I find it interesting that this is an AI.
We're gonna have to get used to them.
AI won't get upset when we point out errors in syntax, relativity to situation, and mispronounciations.
What can ya do eh? 🤷🏻♀️
Sounds better read by an American
I disagree. I love British accents. 😊
Back then upper class Americans sounded closer to an English accent.
