There were a couple of times in there that I thought you were ruined the painting, but you always amaze me. lol. I fell in love with this painting when I first saw it. I hope to try it myself. You are a blessing!
Looks great! When I do it, it's more of a hit n miss. (more miss than hit) Also tried your challenge. Tried 5 min but was not finished so it ended up being a 8:30 min challenge! Loads of fun though. To be repeated. Thanks Karen!
I loved how you allowed the paint to take it's own course and so many other things began to happen! You spoke about the the " Shack " that appeared and the fence posts. The salt brought out the trees so beautifully and that sky is amazing!!! I like that technique with the " credit card", great following of the paint and your imagination to create something very beautiful, Art!.🎉😊❤
Amazing 🤩! Images came and went - there was a curving bridge over a river at one point and then you took it in another direction 😁! Lovely outcome. House moving this week - can’t wait to get settled and pick up my brushes 😁😘
Stunning. You were the very first artist I watched when I began my watercolour journey, back in May 2020, and you still hold a lot of interest for me. A fair few others focus primarily on beginners, and good as they are, I have outgrown them. I love your experimental paintings and enthusiasm, thank you so much for your videos. This is just stunning.
It never occurred to me to use a card like that! I work in watercolors seldom, and treasure and protect every happy accident such that I never dared experiment like that. The results are nothing like I imagined. Not only did you create an enviable edge, but you made it lighter! I’m still blown away. Thanks. You really inspire me
Oh god! It's beautiful. But I am watching on my phone and I tilt it. It does nothing! 😂 Thank you for sharing! You gove me the spirit to take my watercolor out and get bacl to it! ❤
Very beautiful, and thank you for sharing. I do have a question: what is the advantage or difference of using the watercolour pensil and sandpaper instead of splashing? Thank you in advance Gwendoline
Thank you! Great question. Both create texture but you’ll get different effects eg using pencils with sandpaper will give you a more ‘fleckled’ look. Hope this helps answer your query. 😊
I recommend spraying with a spritzer bottle from a distance to rewet the paint. Go easy with this, just when you need it, otherwise things can get quickly out of control! This tutorial may help: ua-cam.com/video/qGqYLmm6OQk/v-deo.html
I love it but scratching the paper feels so wrong... I'm going to have to play with that before I actually use it on a painting. It might not be for me. It feels so wrong. It looks beautiful though.
“Be the Boss (of your painting)” is an amazing bit of advice…and this one demonstration threatens to put the brush makers out of business!Love it!!!
Thank you so much 😊🎨
