How To Make The All Occasion Folio Mini Album Part 1

  • Here is the tutorial for my All Occasion mini photo album. It is made out of cardstock and design paper. I will put the measurements below for you. It's a fast and easy album to make for a quick project to complete in a short time. I did get a tutorial done on how to attach the waterfall inserts. I will get that uploaded tomorrow for you guys. If you like to see me decorate the album on a video i will do that for you too. Just comment below in the comment section. Hope you enjoy this tutorial!! Thanks for watching!

    Hi Vanessa I did this folio that you inspired me but I did one with all 110 lb. card stock and one with 65 lb and the one with 110 came out so sturdy and it doesn't move around like the 65 lb one that I did I really enjoyed making them and I really liked alot my 110 book. Thank you so much for your time.

      Yes, using 110lb cardstock for this folio would be just perfect for this project!! Great job Maria!! I may have to make another one, but a different style with the 110lb. cardstock!! Thank you for sharing with us!!

    just love this album, I made a prototype so I can make one for my grandson's wedding coming up soon. May have to make 3 or 4 folios just to have enough space for all the pictures.

    I loved your video. I love that you took the time to explain things as you went along with creating this Album. I'm a visual learner and will watch a video a few times and I also like when I can pause it to catch up. I've made just the shell so I can refer to it and the Video in case I forget to do something. lol I also loved your Albums that you made.

      Using the same Layout, your video inspired me to create a smaller version of your Album. It's about 6 1/2 finished size. I can work with it much easier it seems. lol

      Thank you!! The corner rounder I use is Creative Memories one, but you can some at hobby lobby, but they are not the same.

      Oh, I'm so glad that you find my tutorials easy to follow!! the little tool I use is a quilting square that is 2.5 x 2.5.

      That square thing is a quilting template. Joann's or any where they carry quilting/sewing things.

    Absolutely wonderful...can't wait to get to next video. To be clear...the only pieces made with 110# paper are the 3 outside sheets and rest is 65#? I 100% love this and can't wait to make these for family as gifts. Even though we have all gone digital, some of us older folks still have actual pictures, lol. Also I have seen several people showing these but no tutorial, at least not without paying for them. Thank you for an awesome, clear, easy to follow tutorial...thank you for sharing your craft and talent....Yes I am subscribing...

      Yes Ginger, that is correct on the paper weights. Yep, I'm right there with you, I'll never go digital doing my scrapbook books because it is wonderful therapy for the soul!     Hi. Thank you so much for a great portfolio. I have a question about the card you use - you mention two weights. 60lb & 110. Is the 110 in lbs weight or gsm. I am in the UK.

      Yes, Paula it would work just fine, but I would increase the spine of the folio by a 1/4 of a inch to accommodate the thicker cardstock.

    Your doube sided tape: take a small piece off the backing by pulling it down. Do this on all sides, then place the pocket down and pull the tape off from underneath. Much easier, much faster. You should do this each time you use double sided tape. Much less risk of getting it wrong. I've made this folio many times before, being a veteran crafter. Happy crafting people!
