  • In this episode I travel from the famous Gili islands (which are located off the coast of Lombok) and sail onboard a traditional wooden sailing boat called a "Phinisi" to Komodo National park.

Trip sails around the coast of Lombok and the next morning we wake up at "Moyo Island" on the coast of Sumbawa. This island is very wild and the diving is excellent with lots of Fish.
After the diving we then visit a waterfall in the island and have to take a motorbike taxi around 20 minutes inland.
We then set sail again and wake up on the island of Sangheang Api. Which is a live volcanic island and has wild Babi (wild boars) roaming around and we saw them on the beach.
The diving here was amazing and totally unique, different colours, and "bubbles" coming from the sand. Hence why this div site is called "bubble reef"
Next we start entering the jurrasic park views of Komodo national park, where dragons roam on the islands. We start in Banta island. And day by day snake though the incredible Komodo National Park.
We visit dive sites such as Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, Cauldron, Batu Bolong, Manta Alley, Makassar, and then finally on to Rinca island where we meet the dragons.
I was staggered while editing this video to see how much variety of Marine Life was able to be seen on this incredible trip. It’s so biodiverse and Komodo is packed full of fish and strong currents.

hey there! Awesome video, I'll be visiting Indonesia (flying into Bali) in August until September. I have a few questions:
    - How much did the Liveboard cost (cost breakdown would be appreciated)?
    - How long does it take to reach Labuan Bajo?
    - Is being an Open Water certified diver enough?
    - How did you organize the trip (what company)?
    Thank you in advance

Hi. This was a special trip and they are not often running. I think with the pandemic almost being at an end this will become more regular. Expect to pay at least 300 USD per day for a Liveaboard with scuba diving. The more luxury the more the price
