My wife has a beautiful singing voice and was a great songwriter, but gave it all up because she was 40 lbs overweight and her former husband and others ran her down so bad. Now, in her early 50's, she is a person of long ago broken dreams. I am glad that I have her - she is wonderful to me.

Don't allow her to die with the music inside of her. Help her bring it out by nurturing the child within that has been wounded. It will be cathartic for her and she will also be able to wake up the dormant dreams. She has the ability to make her dreams become a reality. Pray for wisdom. God bless you both.

This song literally brings to my knees...every time. I have been through so much pain, hurt, disappoint, betrayal, and loss in my life. It literally feels like the world is crushing the life out of me. "Take me far away from the battle!!" The only reason I am still here is because of the strength I have found in Christ Jesus. Well said. Can relate as evidenced by the following sentences delineating how we use music to deal with pain and stir up faith. The negative influences of this world are designed to make our heart sick through emotional & physical pain resulting in a given person turning to music as one source of comfort to the body. The painful realty of this existence gives rise to the birth of music in two forms, earthly & HEAVENLY. Earthly music speaks to the experiences of this world through the singer-song writer’s eyes. Oftentimes drug use (i.e. alcohol, smokes, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, benzos and propofol to name a few) is intertwined with the survival of an artist to deal with the pressure of performing in order to stay relevant in the music industry, and to serve as fuel for creativity. As a result, music celebrities develop a tendency to sin against their body, through excessive drug use, for not measuring up to or to satisfy the demands of their music. Any earthly joy they experience is darkened by the heavy burden of performing and the loss of privacy.
The end users of their music become fans because the lyrics are relatable and the sound of the singer’s voice & rhythm helps them cope with the pains of this reality. Unfortunately, this band aid approach is only a time out from the hurt and in the meantime we are fortifying its wall with painful memories waiting in line. Who can save us from wounds that are silent, wordless and cruel all the while tearing us apart inch by inch on the inside, which could radically accelerate the demise of the human body? I will use caps as emphasis to show the honest reverence for GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY when writing about HEAVENLY music in the paragraphs below.
That INVINCIBLE DIVINE be our HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO THROUGH HIS SON’S MISSION HAS INSPIRED believers to write songs that sing of HIS LIFE GIVING LOVE to deal with emotional & physical pain, economic instability, mortality and the emotional instability of others with the motive of winning over souls for HIS KINGDOM. The melody & theme of HEAVENLY music is hateful and intolerable to the devil, a spirit which causes us to be blinded of the effects of sin and is responsible for the woes of this world such as melancholy, anguish, tribulation and trial. These agitations of the soul create a heavy burden for the lost and could lead him or her to be hostile of songs that sing about GOD’S GLORY. This makes it clear that we cannot win the spiritual battle by our own strength. Moreover, on earth the devil has no equal.
GOD has provided us with the ONE WHO CAN AND WILL LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt from a given sinner's heart if he or she (through faith) would open their understanding to Psalms (starting with the focus on Psalms 51:1-10 KJV), and hymns/songs giving praise to HIM for the purpose of being persuaded, converted and healed by the HOLY SPIRIT from within by transforming your body/temple into a meeting place for you and the KING OF THE AGES to commune as friends through the born again experience (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life). It is only here that the fears of tomorrow will diminish, the blessed assurance is given that you are HIS and HE LIVES. Once the blessed assurance is known in prayer (through the confession of wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, combine with admitting that JESUS CHRIST is LORD and believing in one’s heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead to deliver us from sin's guilt) the world can never take it away because the world didn’t give it to you.

I CLUNG to this song in 2017 as I was diagnosed with cancer and underwent multiple surgeries and treatments. Six years I am hearing it again as I’ve been feeling disappointed in the fact that God has not allowed the greatest desire of my heart to be fulfilled after 30 years of 30 years of trust and prayers. I have been unsure whether I want to continue following him because of this devastation. But once again God has used this powerful song to turn my heart back to him and continue trusting and believing that he is good. Thank you ❤

what a beautiful testimony. I was at 160 lbs. and lost 7 already and I too am a singer/vocalist. I always worry that my voice is not enough and that I need to also look good. I prayed about it and it IS God who will do it for me, solely on faith.

Such a beautiful song. I have been going through breast cancer. After surgery, 30 radiation treatments , my body hasn't been liking these treatments. Sick for 6 weeks of treatment. I have 2 treatments left, today during treatment, i layed on that table watching those big radiation things moving around my chest and tears in my eyes i kept repeating, i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Over and over until it was done. Praise the Lord I am finally almost done🙏🙏

Thank you for your testimony. I was the little sister to a crazy handsome brother and a sister so beautiful she would literally stop traffic. I was the chunky, weird-looking ugly duckling that thought no guy would ever want to talk to me. At 14 yrs old the Lord saved me. 15 guys came at me in droves. Why? Because I found my identity in Christ. I was His, what did anything else matter. I think there were three reasons the guys started noticing me. 1. The enemy tried to use them to distract me...didn't work 😊and 2. Confidence is sometimes more attractive than outer beauty. 3. The joy of the Lord shined brightly in me. I see that joy in you and you are beautiful whatever size you are.❤I heard this song for the first time today. I LOVE IT!!!

***** I think he mentioned the black part because being black is regarded as an handicap by white people, and we're hated based on our skin color. In the case of her story, someone can be undesirable to other kind of hateful people because of obesity.
i am not saying white people are hateful, but that race sure has a reputation for that. Ask the Jews, the Arabs, the Asians, the Native Americans, the Indians (India) if you don't believe me. Yes, he has a point by pointing out his skin color as a factor that attracted hatred toward him (us).
***** Whether the statistics are to believed or not the racism that blacks experience goes beyond violence and cannot always be quantified. There is racism in the work place being passed p for promotion because of the belief that blacks aee not as committed as their white counterparts. Sometimes racism is institutionalized and is seen as some policies as the way hair is worn by black some companies forbid twist and and other afro centric hairstyles because it doesn't look groomed when in fact its simple is different to what whites are used to so they deem it not suitable. Even in the SAT scores it was determined by experts that the questions asked favor upperclass whotes because they ask questions outside a black student's experience. You may not be aware of it because it can be very subtle. I'm not saying that every charge of racism by blacks is true but some are. African Americans may be more vocal about their racism but some whites are very adept at hiding their dislike. Both races justify their attitude so neither side is right because you don't witness itn personally doesn't mean its not there.
***** The point about the eyewitness testimony wasn't to prove that a lot of black men were innocent it was to disprove your comment that white eye witnesses do not lie. To quote what you said "So white eye witnesses lie ?" They did not have to be intentional in their motive that's how subtle yet toxic racism is. Buried deep in their psyche is the belief that all black people are guilty of something. They saw a black man and it was easy for them to assume that he is guilty because he is black even the justice system was racist. You sentence a man to life by mere eye witness testimony which is notoriously unreliable! But the attitude is he's black so he must be guilty. You are seriously naive if you believe that whites are not racist. And in the case with the wall street female bankers there job evaluations showed nothing that gave any other reason why they were not promoted. That was part of the evidence used by their lawyers. All those crime statistics does not prove that the reason white people were targeted was solely because of their skin color. Opurtunity and wealth would factor in before race because. 83% of crimes committed against whites are by whites. People target those who are accessible. Race is secondary for a criminal. The statistics does not say whites were targeted because of thier skin color but because they are perceived by black criminals as rich. And what about the 2/ 3 of the black population that do not participate in criminal activity of any kind. How do you prove that they are racists. As for Obama it is not just a few that dislike him because of his skin color It is A LOT. I read the things they write on many news websites and they wven punlished an article atatimg that many disapprove of him because skin color. If you cannot see that you're blind. Finally I'm not going to argue anymore you believe what you want to believe. To quote Malcolm X a man convinced of his own mind is of the same opinion. It doesn't change the fact there will always be racist bigots in this world.
v bee It truly saddens me from the bottom of my feet all the way up to the top of my head. I totally understand and get what you are saying. Could I ever say that I have been in this situation? No! I can say that black people are so misunderstood. I lived with a black girl during our college days and she was so incredible. We are all the same, but yet very different. Blacks have the best family bondage ever and if you ever need anything, someone will always be there. Blacks sure know how to keep not only their bodies clean, but also their houses! And honey, let's talk about cooking! They know most every ailment for curing illnesses. And sure know how to dance. I don't think I am anywhere close to being better than black people and I sure think those that do, need a big helping of a reality check. I'm so tired of whites thinking that they are sooo much better and are entitled to everything in this world! Notice the whites are the ones who have most of the mental illnesses going on. Probably because whites have no family or support. Their motivation is to make money in this world no matter who they hurt instead of helping others. They focus on how their outside appearance is (being skinny and getting cosmetic surgery) instead of their inward appearance. To me, I think having curves look so much better. I remember driving to Charleston, SC when that white boy came inside an all black church and murdered many people, including the pastor. My heart just needed to reach out to them. The victim's families were all there and were hugging me! They all asked me if I would go to the funeral the next day. Obama came to the funeral! Yet, I'm sure media didn't say much about that!
