Great discussion on your guest’s non-Tesla EV charging at Tesla Superchargers. I am wondering if Ford provides a disclaimer on supercharging their batteries the same as Tesla. E.G., excessive supercharging the EV battery can result in lower life expectancy.

They will find a way. Kids always do. They are smarter than the government.

I should be the only adult who can decide whether social media is right for my child! The government are not the parents of my kids. Good kids, I repeat, GOOD KIDS use social media as a positive resource. It is nothing like gambling, porn, cigarettes, alcohol, and everything else that teens should not be involved with

Nothing like a conservative state regulating personal freedoms. Parents should have the liberty to raise their kids as they see fit... well, so long as that looks like Christian conservatism. They should only have access to safe toys that teach valuable skills, like guns or MAGA hats.
I do like the attempt to make social media less addictive, for my family and for myself, but this isn't heroin. In fact, it feels like a social responsibility to find healthier ways for kids to use online communications. It would be like saying you're not allowed to ever talk at school unless you're called upon - no recess, no hall chatter, no socializing whatsoever, just be grateful for the information your teacher feeds you. That's as stifling as it is dangerous. Especially UA-cam lol that's crazy to label such a source of news and science as just social media. My daughter was on UA-cam basically her whole life, but we monitored it closely and adapted parental controls as she grew up. She was allowed her own Insta account at 16. I'm a tech entrepreneur and I actually don't think TikTok is safe, but yo know what? That's my choice as a parent, like it would be my choice to let her use it if we felt that was right. I'll tell you what would've been really dangerous, though: teaching her nothing about the internet and barely letting her use it until she turns 18 and has the ability to do literally anything online. In today's age, that's bad parenting imo

This is such a great take. This reminds me of the old saying: “Freedom for me and not for thee.” That’s basically it in a nutshell, but of course, not as eloquently as you put it.

@patricknelson I live in Texas and the irony is strong here. We're bombarded by CBD ads but real weed is illegal. I recently heard of someone in my circle ordering a 6-week abortion pill from Kentucky, of all places. I can openly carry almost any weapon I want to "protect myself", but I can't buy beer on Sundays or effectively choose what I do with my own body. In the cities, highways we paid for with our taxes are being converted to private toll roads. Any basic bureaucratic service is 10x more complicated & expensive than any other state I've ever lived in. You need a permit to feed the homeless. In fact, the amount of expensive permits I've had to get to perform my various works makes California look easy. I always forget that saying, so thank you for reminding me of it, I'm sure I'll be using it a lot more moving forward lol.

Oh, and recently porn got banned so you need to go through an identity verification/tracking service to access adult content through Texas ISPs lol it's so bizarre

I'm a conservative and I don't agree with the decision. I've called out my conservative brethren for contradicting themselves. They want less government involvement but all of a sudden they cheer for this ban which is obviously government overreach.
