I regretted selling a rose one a few years ago and recently bought a purple one. I had some money saved up and still had to sell a couple cars to help fund it. I agree with you that the market is insane as far as prices go. I get the idea you are more like me. I collect redlines for the nostalgia and love of cars. I am not obsessed with extreme price gouging for cars that the condition doesn't match the price. That is pretty common on Ebay.
