JC Chasez has been the most under rated singer. His Management failed this man. They should know better that JC's voice fits in R &B perfectly instead they put a label pop-rock thing.
In recent podcasts several Producers (contracted under Jive at the time), have come out and stated that JC DID indeed have songs that should have been on his debut album (22 songs that could have made the cut but wasn’t allowed to be released). The reason being was that Barry Weiss (the idiot who took over Jive) didn’t want JC “competing” against Justin because both their musical styles sounded too similar…so yes, had JC been allowed to release the real songs he wanted, things would have been very different for him. JC is VERY capable of releasing music that would have been more suited for his voice/ style…as evidence with his collaboration with Blaque “Bring It All to Me”, the Drumline Soundtrack song “Blowin’ Me Up” and his original recording of “Give In to Me” (prior to Nsync). Plus, let’s not forget JC’s HUGE contributions towards NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached” Album in terms of songwriting and producing, this coming at a very stressful time when Nsync was just released from RCA and effectively in limbo searching for a new label to go to. That album held the spot for most sold albums in 1 week for over 15 years! That is a VERY impressive feat! The problem wasn’t with JC, it was Jive. JC is very Charismatic onstage and gives 110% in a similar fashion playing to the crowd and giving fans what they deserve, much like Michael Jackson did…not unlike playing to his own ego like Justin or Madonna does. Unfortunately, with the mainstream music, if the elites and label don’t want to “back” you as their golden goose…your work gets sabotaged and you aren’t given any monetary support to promote or host your concerts/ appearances (very much what happened to JC).

Then again, everything happens for a reason, and JC didn't have to sell his soul, like so many do.
