Hi Phil, thank for great review. bought the ht3550, I like the colors when watching movies and Netflix 4K shows,however is not bright. That’s issue as sometime I watch during the day on weekend. Which make me consider either this optima hd50x or benq tk850; between these last two which one the color would pop more when watching movies/4K shows? Which one has better black ? Cheers thanks, Mo

Do you know what has been enhanced or upgraded over the tk800m?, the 800m has input lag of around 44ms this is 81ms that’s a joke way too high for gaming.
Is this projector also 3D supported? I only ask this because Amazon Canada has it listed as so and no one has mentioned it including BenQ's own website.
Con: "not for home cinema use". Well, ive watched for years on a FullHD beamer and called it home cinema. Maybe the brand home cinema should be reserved only for beamers € 4000,-+
Can anyone help me, should I go for tk850i or tk700 ? Only casual gaming ...i watch movies only..as in India there is a price difference also .850 is 25% higher priced from 700...so should I prefer 850i or go with 700..

This is a fantastic projector. Only watched about fifty hours so far, but this leads this price range of projectors for price and performance.

yea I Just returned the ht3550 for this one I hope it looks a little better and brighter on my at 150in

Rainbow effect i`m sure it`s there. You see it at every blink and in situations of high contrast. Even in a high priced LG UST you see it.
It's mentioned in the review. It will vary for person to person.
Owned 2 DLP projectors and never sar Rainbow Effect in 24-60 Hz content, it really is dependent on person to person
Try and LED or laser based DLP that doesn't use a color wheel
Own this projector. And it pretty much rainbow free.
