- Idle relearn procedure is a step by step process which is necessary to do when you clean or replace your throttle body or you perform an ECU reset procedure on your car's computer box., without doing this you might have encounter high rpm at low speed and erratic rpm as well when you shifted gears and use car accessories such us headlights, Aircon system etc. so it is best to conduct this procedure in instances that I have mentioned.,
Idle relearn procedure is easy to do, just follow this simple steps and your good to go, this optimized your rpm in a given speed and shift or using those accessories of your car., this procedure is applicable to Honda units, this is a feature of Honda cars that many enthusiasts doesn’t know about specially newbie., so I made this video as a reference as well to help others who needs to relearn there idle speeds.,
So just keep sharing and let others know about this procedure so that everyone will benefit and save money for not bringing there cars to high priced dealers… even them sometimes doesn’t know:) hehe….
Note: as you notice On the first part of the procedure which I have told to Kalikot michael which is in the video, that part is about resetting the ECU cause as you watch his testimony he already used the car after he replaced the throttle body, so basically the idle that has been relearned by the ECM which is not at nominal and normal idle is being stored in the ECU's memory, so that in order to reset everything to "zero" you'll have to perform that ECU reset procedure in order for the ECU to relearn the correct and nominal idle speed of the engine., holding the rpm at 2k is to relearn your idle speed when your cruisng at a speed of 100km/hr so that when your idle drops it doesnt fluctuate., its adaptable by the way as you drive your car., whats important here is the relearn process at cold start., cause this affects the engine idle or rpm when you shift gears and activate car accessories, such as headlights, AC and etc.

Big 👍🤜🤛 sayo boss. Sobrang nakatulong sa auto ko ang tutorial mo... now smooth na ulit ang idle ng sasakyan ko. Kahit naka open lahat ng accessories and ac ko, still 850 900 lang idle nya. 3.) start, hold rpms 2500 for 1 min. Stop
4.) start, run engine for 5min at no load
2k rpm daw not 2500

Pinahaba mo ang simpleng relearn procedure. Eto gayahin nyo. according eto sa manual ng honda.. Turn off everything (ac, lights, etc..) then start the engine and wait for cold temperature light indicator to turn off then rev the engine @ 3000 rpm (steady lang apak) and wait until the RPM will automatically falls down to idle rpm (bigla po bababa rpm kahit hindi nyo narelease apak sa accelerator) then release the accelerator pedal and leave it for 5min or more then Turn off and done. Kung sakaling mag on ang radiator fan dagdagan nyo yong time na five minutes bago nyo e turn off ang engine. Ginawa ko to sa Jazz ko kasi matakaw sa gasolina dahil mataas ang Idle.

@@kalikottv4206 Bosing, Ang relearn procedure ay ginawa ng honda sa lahat ng engine model na may ECM . kung de cable ang accelerator, wait for radiator fan to turn on then release the accelerator pedal and leave it for 5min or more then turn off and done. Yong time lang sa pag release ng accelerator pedal ang maiiba.

Sir kalikot, nice one sa video mo, bago po ako sa channel nyu done subscribed po. I am searching po kasi ng mga troubleshooting about sa honda city 2013 about rough idle when starting the engine. Ang problem po kasi ng sasakyan ko pag mag start ng engine subrang taas po ng idle papalo ng 1800 rpm or 1500 after few minutes dahan dahan syang ba baba hanggang aabut ng 1000 and below pero mga 2 or max 3 mins na andar. I think ikaw na po makakasolve ng sasakyan ko sir with your idea. Salamat po and Godbless you.

@@kalikottv4206 so far hindi pa to na buksan lahat ng parts sa engine kalikot. Na try ko na yung relearn sa channel mo. Pag mag start ako ng engine sa umaga for heating, yung rpm aabut ng 1800 tas steady sa 1500 mga 5-10 minutes na andar kung uminit na makina ba baba na sya ng below 1000 rpm. yes kalikot, you need to wait for the idle to stabilized for atleast 5 minutes. if not there must be a vaccum leak somewhere in your engine, and it means that your engine is running in LEAN fuel mixture., that is why your idle is higher than normal.

My problem with our car is that in the middle of driving there are times where there will be no power/acceleration even if I step on the gas pedal several times but will cruise. We have a honda civic fd 2.0at. Also after that the car would judder/kadyot everytime you change the gear all the way from Drive to Park. It will only be solved by turning off the car and starting it again, then there will be power/acceleration again. Do you think it's the same with what you had in your video? If so, can you teach me how to fix it please?

Sir Kalikot pinalinis ko ang throttle ko last year at since then nawala na sa tono ang idling ko. Recently lang na experience ko ng apat na beses while driving na bigla nalang tataas sa 3k ang rpm ko pero d naman bibilis ang takbo bagkos babagal pa nga pero d naman mamatay makina ko. Palagi tuloy may fear ako na bumiyahe ng malayo baka bigla sumumpong ito sa Expressway kaya nakakatakot. Kapag din naka full stop ako tapos engage ko sa drive bumababa din rpm ko kaya may vibrate siya na akala mo mamatay engine.
Would this relearn help my problem? Sana ma notice mo sir magbibiyahe pa naman ako ng malayo this weekend, para d na ako mag commute.

Dapat may OBD 2 monitoring device ka kalikot para monitor m ung ENgine coolant temp m., once n mga 98 degC it means n nsa optimum engine temp na ang makina., the only downside of this is matatagalan mng maabot ang ECT due to your fan is continously running., I hope this helps kalikot👊👊👊
