Apple pie is a great way to appreciate the incredible variety and diversity of this glorious fruit. Especially when it comes from the man known as the "The Apple Whisperer."

Thank you for this. It's great to hear that he wants to preserve these old variety trees.

Love this! Thank you John, for the many apple scions I've ordered from you at Fedco. They're growing beautifully! Your legacy lives on.

This was a grande portrait of not only the classic American dish, but an individual relating the experience of our culture. So well rounded as a film piece, and a pleasure to enjoy. I commend the Director, and all the crew involved.

That was an incredible apple vlog. I loved every minute, John's history, passion for learning and keeping these varieties alive. What would we do without John in the world? Thank you for a coveted video.

I first discovered John Bunker about 10 or 12 years ago reading an article in a newspaper. So glad I saw this! There's also a cooperative nursery he helped start called Fedco they sell many varieties of apple tree's John has personally helped save from extinction. Fedco trees and Fedco seeds. Check em out! They are also very committed to Non Gmo seeds and crops!

LOVE this! John is an icon here in central Maine. I was lucky to receive a bag of Black Oxfords from his orchard.

Thank you John. You shared priceless information. I had never known of Redfield apples, thank you. I'm excited to find them next fall at our local farmer's market 🤞.

Has John ever tried adding some boiled Quince chunks into his apple pies? It's said to bring them to another level, and the smell of fresh, raw Quince fruit is absolutely astounding (even though they are largely inedible raw).
