Yeah they had a great friendship, it’s a shame that this would be the last time they’d ever meet, Lofty moved to Bedford and a few years later Simon moved to New Zealand, I doubt very much they kept in touch again
Sometimes the best exits are the ones which involve a character waking toward the tube station with a suitcase heading for pastures new for a fresh start, Lofty’s exit suited him, he was never going to go out with a bang, he drifted into Walford, spent a few years there and now he’s heading to a new job and a new life in Bedfordshire
In a way it suited him, not every exit had to be ott or explosive, sometimes the best exits are those who leave with a suitcase heading to the tube station to pastures new
Yea it's great news looking forward to watching EastEnders next year my mum loved EastEnders sadly she past away 21 years ago in 2019 and she would've been made up it still going strong she always use to say people who watch EastEnders are down to earth people as they don't shy away from the real harshness of life coz it's EastEnders it all base on true life so hey guys nothing wrong watching our very down to earth soap my sister's says it getting to violent no I don't think anything like that they like🤔 wearing to rose🤓🤩-tinted 🤩glasses not facing up to real life wakey wakey up sister's smell the coffee 😄😃 to real life to think I always wondered why I'm I get on with people, thanks mum we're ever you are watching over me. pointing out that real look out on life 😊😊 cheers 👍to my mum

God help him, Bedford in the late 80s and early 90s was a shithouse! 🤣
@@BenKellyMusic92 the city was and still is a shit hole 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but the county of Bedfordshire is beautiful
Another one that went out very anti-climatically was Tony Carpenter in 1987.
cheers for these :) never seen this clip before
Wait 34 years he'll be back a success ❤
What a very simple unexciting exit.
Lofty's character deserved better than that. I can't wait to see his brief return in 2019.
