I love sports stories and I didn’t expect to see a track and field one. Even though Keita lost so many times to Wakana, he didn’t give up and wanted to be on par with her and his hard work paid off. Honestly Keita could have been disqualified for what his dad did. They might think he’s helping his son cheat or something but he was helping him reach his potential. And I’m pretty sure Keita’s dad is proud of him.
This was a really great story! I'm glad that Keita was able to participate in track and field and improve his running speed to catch up to Wakana. And even after all that criticism, he still ran with Wakana after she gave him some words of encouragement. And after Wakana faltered from exhaustion during the race, Keita carried on and won for the team. And now the two are dating going from rivals to lovers while still running, side by side.
I loved Keita, and Wakana's dynamic. The two had a rocky start, but soon developed to be one of my favorite pairings. I absolutely loved how a one-sided beating eventually turned into a rivalry, respect for each other, and then eventually a relationship. Seeing how the two were in the beginning, and where they are now is a sight to behold. I absolutely loved the scene were Keita defended Wakana, and how Wakana handled the situation. My other favorite scene is for sure the piggyback scene, that was just too cute beyond words, I'm suprised they didn't start dating right after. Another thing I love about this story is that no one really surpassed the other, or at least it's not outright stated to my knowledge. Im glad the rivalry prospered past the events of the story. Top tier couple, and story, definitely top 20

Even if it's a waste of time, how is he supposed to spend that time if he can't even get into other clubs? Should he spend it studying at home? meh. Among other things, there was also the risk that the boy could get seriously injured and be forced to stop playing any sport in the future. Luckily everything worked out for the best. #2 But wasn't the father's condition that the boy had to wear such shoes during training? Why was he also wearing them during the races? I hope the father didn't do all of this just so his sponsor could collect data from the shoe prototype he gave his son (9:38). And why in the end the boy continues to wear such heavy shoes? Hadn't the father admitted that he was wrong? And still force his son to use those dangerous shoes?
