- Back then Genshin Impact was the only console quality game on mobile phones. But now we have Wuthering Waves, Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero ZZZ and soon Arknights Endfield, Project Mugen etc. Who knows maybe Kuro is already making their own version of Star Rail...

I deleted genshin bc it just felt disappointing... there are so many cool characters, yet they don't bother using them in world quests. once their banner, event, is over, you won't see that character for months in the story. if at all. I really like the element system, but there's just nowhere to use these fully built characters. the abyss and theater shi feels bad to play.
yes, star rail doesn't have that much exploration. but there's so many combat modes to use the characters I spent time building. I like that the mc has an actual family instead of a screaming flying fairy.
gonna play wuwa when changli is released. it seems promising
you should atleast install wuwa right now to claim the 10 limited character pull, 10 limited weapon pulls and 10 standard character pulls + 1 free 5 star standard character (you just need to log in and complete the first tutorial)

As someone who has been playing wuwa if you expect the endgame modes to be engaging once you get your characters going its easier than abyss
i feel same. i wish genshin copies some of star rails combat activities. they did add recently imaginarium theater but i feel its a little too late. I am also saving my pulls for changli XD
I like Genshin and I think in my case it makes sense to keep playing as I started late and there are a lot of things I want to do. But I don't play honkai and I prefer open world ones. So currently GI + WuWa and I'm giving ZZZ a go. Also looking forward to Azur Promilia (I mostly only consider games that are going to be available also on console sooner or later)
i'm pretty much the same. I don't play star rail that much because it's mostly auto play (also I already have built characters) so I really just play it for the story which is great so far. Also in Star Rail they don't get rid of events like in Genshin when the event is over. There is a tab where you can replay every single past event (and even get the rewards) so yeah you can try it later and experience everything :D
@@CerlinGames oh that's nice, didn't know you could play old events! I did start it a few weeks back but didn't play much because I don't usually pay too much attention to the story and the combat felt like it had an element of luck involved (probably skills issues though 🤣)
Honestly I feel like I'm in a similar scenario! I'm loving ZZZ and starrail, I've been playing Genshin for like 2 years now, logging in almost every day, done like all the content and feeling burnt out despite still loving the game. So for now I'm putting Genshin on the backburner, I'll login in for an event if I feel like it and definitely log in for the archon quests which I'm invested in. But I'm done feeling forced to log in everyday even though I'll lose pulls, it made a fun game feel like a chore. I'm trying to avoid doing that with my current gacha games too
wow someone that likes ZZZ too :D yeah just finished some story quests in ZZZ i'm in the middle of the belobog story now really liking it. too bad it got really bad reviews on google like 3.7. also yeah for the dailies in genshin. i also do it for the pulls since i'm f2p in genshin right now.
Nah, I won't quit Genshin until we get to the bottom of the story. I'm just playing ZZZ now since there isn't any events to do for now (and there's nothing to do in exploration, I have done everything) and I find myself looking for another game (I also finished the game I'm playing in NSW). But once v5.0 drops, I won't hesitate to drop ZZZ 'cause Genshin will always be my priority ❤
i agree :) i wonder what they will do in the very end though or will it ever end. I think after the story is finished they will transfer to a new world and again meet new characters etc
im mixed on whether to quit, it all depends on the type of game you like. i personally love both open world and turn based rpgs so hsr, genshin, wuwa, and zzz all appeal to me to an extent, but i dont plan to necessarily quit any, just rotate which one i play for storage reasons.
i think i also love all the games because im an early player for all of them. zzz, hsr, wuwa day 1 player, and genshin i started in 2.1, so im able to see the games grow :)
maybe the word i should have used is "break" because i also don't plan on quitting permanently my account on these games are pretty built. just really tired of doing dailies for all of these games
Right now, I quit genshin because of how repetitive it can be. Open, do dailies, burn resin, (sometimes I don't even do dailies of how bored I was). I love doing those world quest that take some hours because it gave a lot of depth to the world building and steals my attention away but those small quest is just meh, I dunno why world quest have much more appeal to me than story quests. That aside, it's frustrating that resources are time gated unlike hsr and wuthering waves, that's why I don't have much enjoyment in building characters; the frustration of needing to wait.
oh yeah i do like the world quests more i remember doing a pretty nice world quest sumeru desert girl. I like it because there is more exploration involved unfortunately theres no voice acting.
@@CerlinGames rn, I'm gonna reinstall genshin only for the story and getting the pyro archon lol. I'll try not to dive into farming that much if possible

Genshin having no end game is lame. Loved the story though. I come back to get up to date with the story, then drop it again for a couple of years. I don't need to summon more characters; I just use my built-up team to do the story.
There's 3 endgame come Tuesday and more coming. Do you actually play or just regurgitating what doomposters put up?

they added a new "endgame" in genshin. not really complex also it has a deadline of 1month i think. imaginarium theater
It's the daily commissions for me. I do not want to spend 5 minutes reading about how a guy who wants to please the talking cat over and over again. Just do it like HSR and WuWa where I can complete my 'daily commissions' by just playing the game (aka farming, leveling characters, etc.) and people probably won't get burned out from all the repetitiveness. Give us the stupid skip button.
You can already do commissions by just playing the game. It's been like that for awhile.

OMG. yeah i wish they just put a skip button like in wuwa. its crazy i have to sit down and skip the dialogue (long ones too) i mean WuWa has this too with the grandpa but at least they have a skip button. i wish they copied Star Rail on this where you get to finish dailies by using resin
I think WuWa is high quality and with a higher budget they can definitely fix a lot, but I don't think it's as high quality as Genshin. I think graphics and gameplay are pretty good, but the story and environment leaves to be desired. I got a bit bored of WuWa for both these reasons. I wish there was a lot more variety in geography on WuWa's map to tell the different areas apart easier. I really like that about Genshin.
I'm ultimately of the same opinion that I like Genshin the most because it caters to my specific interests for a video game, from style to game type to story. I've had a few burnouts here and there, so generally I just take a break sometimes. I'll probably be following HSR and ZZZ aesthetics, too; lately I've been rotating playing those three, usually two games a day (I'm a slow thinker lol). I want to eventually try keeping up with WuWa because there are characters that still interest me.

I'm literally doing the same thing in all these games. There's pros and cons of all of them.
But I'm definitely not quitting genshin with the summer event and natlan releasing soon.
They have more promising content than WW. I have no idea what their future is besides changli looks cool lol

yeah i can't quit genshin too because i love the events (voiced story) well at least i'm f2p now on all of these games. when genshin was the only game around i kinda whaled on it.
It's funny how people play up not playing a certain game like it's packing up and moving across the country. It's a game, deciding not to play doesn't have to mean you have lock yourself out of the game, just play when you want to and don't if you'd rather spend your time doing something else, it's not that deep.
FOMO still applies. Even if you can move back to the game, the primogems and resin from daily play will be lost and event weapons are lost forever.
@@Gnidel Well clearly this dude has gotten to the point where event weapons and missing resin is pointless. I can understand new players but those who are plenty satisfied with their character's and builds don't care much to login in everyday unless their are motivated to do something, like min-max for example, and they just play when they want to, I'm behind a year on story, quests, worlds exploration by my own choice, I just unlock the things I need to and spend resin accordingly, Ill play a story quest or 2 whenever I feel like it because there's literally no rush, and I easily beat all end game content. I can go days, weeks, maybe even months without playing, miss several events and limited time weapons or whatever, I just don't care. I don't ever consider it "quitting," because I don't view Genshin as a subscription service. I see it at most just extended breaks, and I play when I feel like playin.
now that you said it. i feel the same way on people that want to quit smoking (i don't smoke so i cannot relate) but now yeah its pretty pathetic that i cannot easily quit some games (like genshin) i miss the old days when dalies weren't a thing. 😄
If you are like 2-3 regions behind casually playing for the past couple years, sure I can see why would drop Genshin. But if you've been an every day player for years and are constantly up to date on ciontent and even have a semblance of money put into the game and drop it just because there's a new shiny game then you are just wasting your efforts you put into it. I cannot stand these clickbait titles bc half of these people prolly barely even played Genshin to the end of content patches, they just milk a headline bc it is popular.

@@troy2223 i think its safe to assume if you are logging in everyday for 4 years you still have interest in the game. I don't know why people force themselves to do something if they don't enjoy it thats not my forte and not my problem
@@corborg1144 or maybe they still keep logging in after 4 years because they spent too much money and efforts on a gacha game and don't want it to be for nothing. This happens for A LOT of players, it's one of the classic tactics gacha games to keep players from leaving the game. Even if they only want to take a break from the game and not quitting there's still the fear of missing out on events and rewards.
I dropped WuWa cuz *to me* it overall felt like a worse Genshin, like worse story, worse exploration, worse gameplay. Played for 1 week during launch and dropped it completely after that.
ZZZ is pretty interesting. I don't see myself dropping it, although maybe I'll play less frequently if I get busy.
I don't like following "the newest thing", I just play games I actually care about. I care about Genshin's lore thats why I started playing, HSR for a certain general, and ZZZ for a certain butler. WuWa isn't a bad game (pretty good actually), but there just nothing I really care about doing there.
i like zzz too. (kinda more than WuWa tbh) not sure why... might be the atmosphere of the game
@@CerlinGames I think it's also overall less demanding in terms of gameplay and mechanics without taking out the fun bit. I also really like the story and setting; I've never needed to use the skip button.
Also, it's surprisingly playable on phone.
People are delusional / spoiled rich if they think WuWa is playable on mobile.
chat be like "genshin is the worst i don't play it anymore", but every time genshin does something they are the first to comment some shit, sure buddy, you quit the game to complain about the game lol, amazing how every year is the end of genshin fr fr this time but the game still on top of sales every single time, hsr can only make more money because they release 2 to 3 times more characters and powercreep the shit out of old characters, so much for their "generosity" people fell right in the trap and what did it cost to hoyo? 20-30 extra pulls lol and now you need 2 characters with their weapons every patch or you can't beat the new content

I play genshin, hsr and ww. If I have extra time, I grind ww or go to Lost Ark. The dailies in these games take no time at all and in the future for genshin they will take even less. Same for ww since we get to store the resin and waveplates essentially. Really takes max 15 min if you autoplay hsr in the background and do your things in the other games. Sometimes it gets tough when long events or patches overlap and that's when you can get overwhelmed. Just need to slow it down on those days and like in genshin gotta skip exploration etc. Leave them for when you have more time. Zenless I won't touch as it's some furry crap and Play-Doh looking characters + reviews have been very mixed for the things I value
genshin is worth dropping game they are lot better game

this whole video smells similar to a lol player's mindset on league of legends.
start by maxing out resin and not doing dailies. half the reason you do dailies is because of fomo. but as you've said, you're account is already strong, why bother? hype on characters goes away quickly especially if you do'n't interact with other people related to the game.
i like pgr the most but even then i only play when i want to, not everyday. i only play genshin whenever there's new expansion. and when i need inspiration for art
surely you have a friend. just ask them from time to time if there's something fun going on.
you know what... all my friends that played genshin already quitted hahaha. but yeah might do less dailies from now on and just enjoy the other games and comeback when there's an event.
