Any time I cared for my neighbors horses while they were gone, I'd quarter and core an apple for a treat. At most, it took them 3 or 4 days to come running at the sight of me.
At first, my neighbors were amazed their animals loved me so quickly. They had a good chuckle when I revealed my "secret"! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
