Very informative. I never miss your videos. I love it. Can you please help me by advising why two leaves of my Calathea ornata having one each brown spot and I noticed after some days thar particular place where the brown spot is dried out. What may be the reason. I never give the them tap water. I give them our packed drinking water which comes in 20 liters of jar.

You can use for mulching but if you use husk or type of similar content like saw dust, it will steal nitrogen from soil and result in deficiencies to plant. If you add this make sure you add lot of manure to supply nitrogen.

Rock sand will make the soil very hard, which will make it difficult for plant roots to spread, beach coral sand is different, it helps to lighten soil as far as I know, so it improves drainage.
