Maryland Bowfishing - Stingrays on the Chesapeake!

Hey Hey! In this video I am in Tar bay on the East shore of Maryland. This is my second time at this spot and 5th time targeting stingrays. Stingrays are quickly becoming my FAVORITE fish to shoot! The week after I filmed this episode I shot a 77 pound Southern Stingray and it took every ounce of strength I had to fight and get that thing in the boat. After I boated it I was shacking with adrenaline. I hope you enjoy the video! If you have any filming advice for would like to see more of something please let me know in the comment section. I’d highly recommend using innerlock arrow tips I feel they have better penetration and lose way less fish that with the standard two barb arrow

Sweet! I think rays get to Maryland in June, but I’m not sure. When you bring them in your boat watch out for their barbs

@Water Predator o yeah for sure! I did spear a ray down in the keys once. There barbs are nasty! I think I'll make a gaff like you have for stabbing and pulling them in

I'm south of Annapolis my boat is hooked up 2 generators about 18 lights, platform new trolling motor with a wireless remote. My boat is small very good for getting in these little creeks. I can send some of my pics from this year, killed 14 snakehead this weekend.

Watching your videos I was trying for some rays this weekend but only seen 1 they arnt running as much as they were.

Sweet! If you want, I can take you out for string rays. I haven’t been out lookin for them yet this year, but once I find them we can go out and stack them up. Wasn’t the tide high this weekend? I was under the impression that snakehead bowfishing is a every other weekend kind of deal because of the tide.
