Masked Israeli settlers filmed vandalizing Palestinian-owned roadside stall, a-Sawiyah, 1 Dec. 2023

On Friday, 1 December 2023, at 1:13 A.M., security cameras captured about 10 masked settlers getting out of two cars and vandalizing a food stall on the side of Route 60, near the entrance to a-Sawiya, using clubs and stones. The settlers smashed the stall’s windows and damaged an oven and coffee machine.
‘Abdallah ‘Odeh, who owns the stall, called the police. Officers took 30 minutes to arrive. They confiscated the security cameras’ DVR and took ‘Odeh to the police station in Ariel, where they took his statements, but did not return the DVR.
בליל שישי, 1.12.23, בשעה 1:13, תועדו במצלמות אבטחה כעשרה מתנחלים רעולי פנים שיצאו משתי מכוניות והשחיתו באלות ובאבנים קיוסק הניצב לצד כביש 60, בסמוך לכניסה לכפר א-סאוויה. המתנחלים ניפצו את חלונותיו של הקיוסק והסבו נזקים לתנור ולמכונת הקפה.
עבדאללה עודה, בעל הקיוסק, הזעיק משטרה, ושוטרים שהגיעו למקום רק לאחר כשעה וחצי החרימו את מכשיר ה-DVR של מצלמות האבטחה. השוטרים לקחו את עודה לתחנת המשטרה באריאל, שם גבו את עדותו אך לא השיבו לו את מכשיר ה-DVR.
في ليلة الثلاثاء 1.12.23 في الساعة 1:13 وثقت كاميرات للمراقبة نحو عشرة مستوطنين ملثمين خرجوا من سيارتين وقاموا بتدمير كشك بجانب شارع رقم 60، قرب مدخل قرية الساوية، بالهراوات والحجارة. وقد حطم المستوطنون نوافذ الكشك وألحقوا أضراراً بالفرن وماكينة القهوة.
استدعى عبد الله عودة، صاحب الكشك، الشرطة التي حضر أفرادها إلى المكان بعد ساعة ونصف الساعة وقاموا بمصادرة جهاز الـ DVR من كاميرات المراقبة، ثم اقتادوا عودة إلى محطة الشرطة في "أريئيل" حيث سجلوا إفادته، لكنهم لم يعيدوا إليه جهاز الـ DVR.

A new report by Associated Press has concluded the following:
⭕ Israeli settlers promoted false narratives accusing Hamas of sexual violence on October 7.
⭕ A settler's account of sexual violence, which spread worldwide, turned out to be fabricated and deliberately concocted.
⭕ A spokesperson for the ZAKA organization says they have asked one of the settlers to stop telling the fabricated story about sexual violence, but he did not comply until three months later.
