It was a perfect morning in Murrells Inlet. Not a cloud in the sky#. I stopped at a creek mouth where there was bait fish pouring in a small creek. That’s where the Fun started. Caught several flounder. I then moved on to another creek and that’s where I caught a 20” doormat. I released her and called it a GREAT day.

Fished Mt. Gilead for a few hours friday n caught a few but found the fish about 200 yards from the jetties on a pearl diezel minnow on a 3/16 red redfish eye jighead.... by the time we found the fish the trolling motor died from fighting the wind n tide all day but we did manage to catch a few..... good video.....
Thank you I appreciate that
In 1976 lived 20 miles away, had a cart all rigged out and walked from Park to jetties quite a hike after working all day.
Yep it’s still a long walk. 🤙I love fishing the jetties I need to go out there more
That was an awesome day brother thanks for the help with the mishap LOL 😆
That sucked! 👊🏻
Lol it happens it all ended well and I found my personal phone where I turned over at Friday when I went
No kidding. I looked today when I was out. The tide was out but never saw anything. Makes for a good story
Yes everyone has laughed about it. I watched the video this morning and noticed the back of my yak was way down in the water gotta figure that out
Thanks for checking brother
Great stuff! Haven't put the kayak in at Oyster Landing yet. Do you tend to go right towards the State Park or left over towards the inlet?
Honestly, I go both ways. Both areas are productive. There is more water to explore if you go towards the jetties.
Went earlier in the week and caught two blues and two flounder. The bite is definitely turning on.
Nice 🤙
Man I was on my way this morning and the boat would not fire up to save my life SMH
Sorry to hear that. You may not want to hear this but it was a nice morning on the water. Caught 4 lost 4. 🤙get that boat fixed….lol
@Dead Calm Outdoors on one hand I knew it would be a great day to fish on the other I could have went all day without knowing 😆
🤙👍
@Dead Calm Outdoors I've already ordered the parts, but I don't care if I have to walk and Murrells inlet next weekend I will be there
Nice 20”
Thanks I appreciate that 👊🏻👍
can you fish from bank?
You can walk to the jetties and fish. That’s really the only bank fishing.
@@DeadCalmOutdoors long walk? At 75 long walks and carrying equipment ain’t a treat
Ah, yea it’s 1.25 miles one way. Pawleys Island is a better area to bank fish
@@DeadCalmOutdoors thanks
