According to authorities, at least three people were killed in a Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian port city of Izmail on the Danube. At least 14 people were injured, the military governor of the southern Ukrainian region of Odessa, Oleh Kiper, said on Telegram. The nighttime attack damaged several houses, other buildings and cars. The river port of Izmail is important for Ukrainian grain exports. On the other side of the river, just a few hundred meters away, lies NATO and EU member Romania.
At least eight people were injured by Russian air strikes in the southern Ukrainian region of Kherson. On Friday morning, a Russian missile hit a police station in the industrial city of Kryvyi Rih. At least one man was injured. In the large city of Dnipro, the administration reported a Russian missile attack that hit an industrial plant. Ukraine has been fending off a Russian invasion for more than two and a half years.
