Blue Cross, Entergy Louisiana and Healthy Blue Volunteers Pack More Than 200K Meals

One in six Louisiana families struggle with food insecurity. To help address food insecurity, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, Entergy and Healthy Blue Louisiana employee volunteers packed more than 200,000 meals. Nonprofit organizations across the state that are addressing food insecurity will distribute the meals to Louisiana families
Employee volunteers and their families from the three organizations packed “oh seaux good” red beans and rice meal kits at eight events around the state Jan. 15-18. These volunteer events were an extended recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service on Jan. 15.
