Hi! I'm the downed rider, and I want to let you know I'm okay! Sure some broken bones and wicked road rash, but nothing that time and a surgery or two won't fix. 😊 A million THANK YOU's for the quick action and care from my fellow RAGBRAI riders, the EMT team, the ER team at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, the RAGBRAI SAG crew, and my friend riding with me. All I recall is a biker ahead of me starting to lose control of their bike and me trying to avoid it...next lucid moment was in a moving ambulance. As a first time RAGBRAI rider, I can state hands down (or is that rider down...too soon?!) that this is such a fantastic, fun-loving group. Hope to be with you all again next year and a job WELL DONE for the hills and miles you all logged during this year's RAGBRAI ❤🎉❤
@@kurtalexander3683 i still haven't edited my 2023 video because of my busy life with job and kids. I figurd id bring my laptop and make some short edits here, since I have no kids or job here.
@@rocbola Our drone took a nice tumble and we weren't able to use it for RAGBRAI this year. Would you be open to letting us use your footage (with proper credit of course) in our RAGBRAI video?
This whole fascination with riding on GRAVEL boggles my mind. 25mm tires on road bikes is nonsense. If i am riding 500 miles in a week, I want nothing to do with the "gravel options." Speedy recovery for the woman who fell. "There are no kick stands in RAGBRAI?" My gosh, really? Be safe out there..
Yep, just ride your ride! For me the gravel is a welcome adventure that provides some moments of solitude and peace. There are also opportunities to meet residents with smaller groups of riders. I am so thankful they offer the gravel options.
I did RAGBRAI back in 2012. I was going to do it this year. But when I found out the route I said NO THANKS. You see I have family in Red Oak and Villisca. So I know all too well about the Hills, Hills and more HILLS! Plus I was not in the best of shape this year. So I'm hoping next year. P.S. Um, you said what at time stamp 2:05? Funny thing is, when I saw the route. I said the same thing, and decided, not to go.
Riding is my "Me Time". To get away from other people and be alone with my thoughts. This seems like a nightmare to me. I mean I'm glad you had fun (besides the crash) but it's just not for me.
Haha i'm exactly the same way, i like to listen to music and get away from the world. Cool to see people enjoying themselves out there though! Ride safe, cheers! 🍻
Prefer riding solely, though this is on bucket list. Like minded individuals with the general consensus of doing something most of us enjoyed growing up is a wonderful transition of equal parts. Hard to take care of business with hundreds of folks around you though, only downfall.
@@the-farming-walrus i understand. It must be crazy to see all these people around. We'll be gone soon enough, and hopefully left enough money behind to send some boy scouts to camp, some church to repair it's roof, some football team to get new equipment, etc.

@@clg15867 So glad you're in good spirits, I was thinking about you all week hoping you were ok.
So glad you’re ok!! I was going through our footage for our video and remembered passing around this same time.
Hope you make a full recovery quickly! From a fellow RAGBRI'er!
Thank you for posting. Sad I couldn't be there this year, so it's great to watch. Be safe.
Thanks for the clips. I'm a RAGBRAI X, XI, and XII rider, still can't believe I haven't been back. Maybe next year, when I'm 70. Keep on rolling!!!
My dad was on RAGBRAI X, now he comes back to play support driver for me. You can still enjoy RAGBRAI without riding it!
Thank you. safe travels
So far so good 😎

Hey! Whats the best way to get in contact with you? We had a quick question about your drone footage.
