- How can fraudsters trap you? Beware of Cybercrimes through UPI transactions.
A very commonplace scam where payment links are sent by fraudsters in the form of an SMS. These fake bank URLs will look similar to the original URL. Upon clicking, it will take you to the UPI payment app on your phone, where any app can be chosen for an auto-debit. Upon giving permission, the money will be deducted from the UPI account immediately. Also, the phone will be infected by a virus or malware that can steal the financial information that has been stored on the phone. Users need to recognise and ignore or even delete such text messages.
Many users are unaware that receiving money via the UPI app does not require scanning a QR code or entering your UPI pin. Hackers frequently send fake links with the option to request money. Once the user clicks on this link, it will ask for the UPI pin or to scan a code. This exposes your financial information to hackers and paves the pay to empty the entire bank balance of users.
Sometimes, fraudsters contact customers claiming to be bank employees, asking for UPI pins, OTPs, or requesting to download a third-party app for verification purposes. This provides them access to their personal information and account information. The customers should ignore such inquiries unless they are from authentic sources. - Наука та технологія

That's not an online payment gateway.. That's an online form on which the UPI details entered will be submitted to the scammers along with UPI PIN.. Thanks for the awareness

P.S : International payment gateway accepts transactions just with upi id & upi pin, sim isn't required.

The main question that needs to be asked here is how the hell de he knew that you had ordered the POCO phone. It means that the database of Flipkart is already exposed and these companies ain't doing anything about that. One should sue that company also from where information got leaked
My father got duped because some scammer called and informed us about our loan details etc. And my dad lost 5k. Imagine how the scammer got to know about our loan details?
Yeah that was biggest issue here.
Most probably that data got leaked through delivery agent,
as the delivery was on last stage as he was saying it was showing in the app also,

With this type of security scenario, there is going to be a creoss in the banking system

And he said ki madam link send kar ra hun 5 RS ka transaction kar do aapka product half an hour mein deliver ho jaayega. Suddenly Mera mind strike Kiya link pe. I said rehne do bhaiya nai chahiye and he said madam delivery ho jayega bas five ra hi to Dena hai. Then I cut the call. But bhaiya maine aap ki tarah video nai banaya. Good work bhaiya. Atleast ek video hi kaafi hai scammers ko ulta scam karne k liye.😅
Nice explanation, I heard about scams like this in which they ask for paying 1 or 2 rs. Via Google pay and do similar type of scams. Thanks and hats off to you for you to showing the real time video like this.
Sad part is that banks and even RBI don't address such type of scam and they blame the user of miss managing and sharing the details to the fraudster

The bigger point to note is about how did they get your information? How did he get the details that you ordered this specific phone, and this is about to be delivered in 1 day?? Does this scam involves courier partners, delivery boys?? Because they are the only people who can access this information while making the delivery.

Scammers played it very smoothly because flipkart actually takes 5 ruppes but at the time of checkout only when we select COD. So, scammers using this trick to make it more organic to make customer feel that yes we did pay 5 rupees previously so this may be like that also.

One simple rule for being safe is ask as many questions as you can after 3-4 why's they know you are not the fit
it is basically a google form that they send disguised as UPI payment link. So, the minute you enter the details they capture your information on a spreadsheet attached to the form. Its as simple as that 😉
