The two saxophonist a I hold in highest regard are Lester Young whom I think as the Moon and Sidney Bechet whom I think of as the Sun (Lester being dreamy and mellow, and Sidney being intense and firey!) . they are from me, the true poets of the jazz reed players. There are no other players who’s sentiment and storytelling I reverie as much.
