      I need another Wolves fans opinion on this. Wolves me self. I think what she should have is an expansion for one. Take down Steve Bull first, rebuild it bigger and connect it to the North Bank and do the same for the other stands in phases. But during the redevelopment the South Bank should be kept as a Kop style. Any thoughts mate?

    As a Wolves fan for over 65 years many thanks for doing this. Also for the videos of the new IOM ferry terminal which I will hopefully be sailing from next year. All the best FWAW

    Wolves a famous Football club indeed! Been there myself back in mid and again in the late 80's. I hope Wolverhampton Wanderers get their Molineux Stadium redevelopment done as this is a team worthy of such a theatre. Great work Nikos adding another Stadium to your videos. Others would be good to do Leeds Utd, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest, and maybe Aston Villa. These are old clubs with stadium heritage. Although Leicester City stadium is much more recent it is a great community club and Stadium..
    Just a thought! Thanks Nick

    Great video mate. I really appreciate that you went to the trouble to do this. On the Saturday of the coronation earlier this year Wolves were playing Aston Villa at 15:00. Someone asked me where I’d be watching the coronation. I explained that I wasn’t going to watch it as I’d be at my church. They asked why I was going to church on a Saturday and who had arranged their wedding clashing with the coronation. I explained that my church is Molineux…….😊

    A handsome place, another ground still comfortably sat amongst its fans' homes. An interesting air tour, Nick, thank you.

    I was expecting an update from BMD! But this was interesting to see another Stadium from one of the Great Football League Clubs of old. It's very interesting to compare it BMD.

    Thanks very much mate for doing this, superb work. Never not sold out since being in the premiership - over 30,000 every time. Need about a 40,000 ground with 12,000 on waiting list

    FAB video once again Nick. I really enjoy watching.
    I visited Molineux back in early 1998 for the derby match with West Brom. I was really impressed with the stadium, the atmosphere, (the place was absolutely buzzing) & the town itself was very pleasant & the people welcoming.
    Wolves have come a long way considering the club very nearly went out of business back in the 1980s. Once the stadium redevelopment is completed with a 50K+ capacity it will one of the great stadiums in Europe. It looks pretty impressive as it is now though.
    I can remember The John Ireland Stand (now named The Steve Bull Stand) being built in the late 1970s with it's cantilevered roof, curved stand & executive boxes. It was quite revolutionary for its time. Then there was a demise in the club's fortunes & the rest of the ground fell into disrepair. Sir Jack Hayward's investment provided stability & investment in the club & ground. A great place to watch football.

    I remember the fanfare opening of this current incarnation of Molineux. It was a long time coming, with its predecessor becoming increasingly dilapidated and unsafe. It was state of the art at the time, but for me at least that 1990s look it has doesn't get my pulse racing. Maybe a Wolves fan can correct me, but it seems like the stadium was a bit of a bodge as its not that old, but plans are already afoot for it to be redeveloped.

    I have only been to Wolves ground on three or four occassions the first being in May 1976 when my beloved LFC won by 3 goals to 1 in a epic end to the season when we clinched the title from QPR who were not playing that weekday night and could only watch on as Liverpool score 3 goals after being 1 goal down for a larger part of the game. Since then I have always had a soft spot for that ground and have seen it slowly develop its stands through the intervening years. There was a large proportion of that time were Wolves as a club fell down through the professional leagues and the ground became a bit of a run down , much in need of investment football ground with only the Bily Wright stand I think modernised but like the football club the ground has improved greatly although time demands further investments in the stands and ground expansion is again needed over the next 10 to 12 years

    TBH the stadium is ugly, which is a shame because back in the day it was one of the nicest in England. I suppose that's modern architecture for you, but I feel it would have been better to have had an overall plan for the stadium instead of rebuilding in bits and bobs.....

    • @MF0567
      @MF0567 7 місяців тому +1

      There is an overall plan for the stadium, but Covid and the restrictions placed on the Chinese owners from their own country have put it on hold for the moment.
