that hack DOES work for some people but idk if this will really help but it did for me: Circle your arms forward when you hurtle before the aerial and then bring your arms up by your sides, this gives me a lot more height and helps me not put down my hands. :) good luck!
@@LifeWithme-vn9qy yea i tried the "something in your hand trick" and It DID NOT work! Um, and some tips for no hands is practicing pushing THROUGH your TOES and getting height. Another way is to throw your arms back by your side, instead of a broken T! And when you through them back, make sure you whip/throw instead and kind of make a circular motion! 💗 Hope this helped :) reply to this if you have anymore questions ❤️
TIPS FROM SOMEONE WHO RECENTLY GOT THEIR SIDE AERIAL!! -make sure to always swing your arms back (big, fast swing!) it gives you more momentum. i don’t recommend pulling your arms into your chest, since it doesn’t give you the same lift off effect -ALWAYS make sure you are using your hurdle to help you spring up into the air. it helps to put more energy into your hurdle and lift off than into your run -think about jumping up, not forward. the higher you go the easier your aerial will be -make sure your legs are in a large enough split in the air, so that they’re able to swing above you and touch the ground fast enough -always keep your chest up!! especially when you land, so you don’t immediately fall down like i did 🥲 -i don’t recommend holding objects in your hand. it’s unsafe, especially if you have to put your hands down for an emergency landing. remember straight arms, and swing them *back* -overcoming that mental block is HARD!! trust me, it’s been the main thing holding me back. you just have to go for it. if you always seem to be putting you hands down, you can try attempting it on a hill or slope, or a high platform so your hands aren’t able to touch the ground and your legs will have time to swing over. remember to do this safely! I’m horrible at explaining things but I hope this helped!! best of luck! keep trying and i promise you’ll get it! it took me over 1 year of off and on training before i got it 💀✌🏻

YOU GOT THIS!! 🎉
Another tip is swing your arms back really hard then they will be farther away from the ground and swing you legs really fast that’s what I had to do to get mine because before I would not do that but now I do and I have it another one is do a push away cartwheel it’s where you put your hands down in the beginning and then push away then try that with the diving cartwheel and you will be close to getting it

if you go to a gym: how I did it was I did an aerial off of a tumble track onto a mesh block, then I went straight to the floor. I was super calm and I tricked my brain into thinking I was doing it on the tumble track again. Then i did it on the floor! if you dont go to a gym/practice at home: try going super high and fast! (sorry if these don’t work, I know they aren’t the best methods but it’s how I got mine)
Try a flying front walkover. It’s where you swing your arms around before you place them down. It will help you learn and aerials so fast. Look them up on how to do them.

Aerials take a lot of time so if ur not able to do it straight away DONT WORRY💗 Here are some tips!!! Make sure to swing ur arms behind ur back! Jump up in the hurdle as high as u can! Don’t travel much on the hurdle jump Practice with big run ups first!

I'm not a gymnast but I've been training flexibility to get my splits for 3 months and currently I can do side splits but I'm still working on middle splits
I really recommend learning a flying cartwheel for aerials because they are SOOO powerful and teach you how to swing and place your arms correctly. Look them up to learn an aerial because they are the most effective thing for aerials.
MOST EFFECTIVE TIPS FOR SIDE AERIALS! (That helped me get mine) -like she said in the video, GO UP, NOT FORWARD!! -if you feel like you don’t have enough power when you try to go up, whip your legs over and it gives you momentum -(ONLY IF YOU THINK YOU’RE READY AND HAVE ENOUGH HEIGHT/POWER!!) if you’re scared of mental blocks, hold 2 socks or golf balls or whatever so you can’t use your hands
ALSO PRACTICE FLYING CARTWHEELS! A flying cartwheel is when you do the hop, the once you put your dominant leg down, spin your arms in a backwards circle while doing the cartwheel so that your arms are off the ground for half the cartwheel, but come back down hole your still in it. Search a tut up on UA-cam though😅😅
here’s a tip guys!!!! i just started getting my aerial perfect but after my teacher told me this was my problem. i was kicking my standing leg over way harder than the other one so it was catching up with my other leg and messing up my aerial. so try to kick your legs the same way
Oh, and another tip for side aerials, is whip your legs REALLY HARD AND FAST! That was the thing that Held me back from getting mine last year

Also have a big straddle because if your legs are close together it will be much harder

Pro tip do a step skip Ariel and make sure you like glide into it and make it fast the key is power that’s what helped me get mine
