I remember back when I was a like 6 or 5 we had a Super Nintendo and we played Super Mario’s world. I would play the game with my uncle and it was fun. My uncle struggled a lot ok Tubular and I did as well. It was the best experience playing video games with him. Sadly he died almost a year ago and I replayed the game about a week and this just bring backs so much memories I even had a little tear when I heard it. Nobody can make more memories than Nintendo
i used to play this game on a emulator on my 12 year old pc (it could barely run it) and i was always stuck in the last caves level. i loved to play it but then my pc died forever. in 2021 i got my switch for christmas (my mom never wanted to buy me games tho...). with the switch came a 12 months nintendo pass and thats where i realized i could play that game again. i beat it very easily this time. i enjoyed every second of any world, from the secret areas, to castles and the star road. i was so happy yet so sad to finish it and listen to this song. this goes both in my game history achivements and my heart.
I like to imagine this as Bowser’s true death for the classic timeline. Everything after this is in a different timeline or just not canon all together.

“The game is over, thanks for playing! It’s time to say goodbye, but we’ll see you again some day!” The multiple crescendos really give you that sense of how things will be alright and we’ll be back to play again (ie another Mario game) soon. Koji Kondo is without a doubt, a/the god of game music.

This nostalgic * near perfect masterpiece needs to go the hall of fame for video games.
Props to YOU, the player, for making it this far & being determined enough to do it all. Congrats, remember, you will always be in someone’s memories or hearts, everyone is always loved.
Thank you for writing this beautiful comment with us in mind, remember that I will not forget you for that :)
Que saudade, que nostalgia. bons tempos.
I still get memories…
No questions, this is the best Mario game
SMW was the first game that I ever completed all the way to the end. This theme just made me so darn happy. Still does. Such good memories.
"congratulations, you survived 2020"
i survived 2020 and now we have to survive 2021
I remember as a kid, I kept clicking start as hard as I could when it said The End. xD I thought it would send me back to the menu or something.
+John Maldonado Yeah, so is there ANYTHING i can do? ANYTHING AT ALL????
+Landon Francis AT ALL????
I'm doing the same thing rn. How do I go back to the map??
Michael Hawn so basically it cant save that u beat the final boss? Like super mario 64?
Everyone did.
I put this at the end of my PowerPoint slide and the teachers liked it.
The ability of music to hit me with unworldly nostalgia for a game I've never played.
Incredible.
1:28 i started crying of joy when i saw the yoshi eggs hatch :;D
Very emotional....
Pure Nostalgic....
Good times....
Thank you Nintendo....
llore cuando lo tope por primera vez, tenia 12 años y hoy 37 y lo juego como si fuera la primera vez. Que recuerdos
i love how no one has talked about mario having a mental breakdown lol
i love how this is a theme that emphasizes a farewell
0:03 hey you,you are finally awake
nostalgia :')
1:57 this is the good part. *THE POWER OF FLUFFY BOIS SHINES WITHIN YOU*
i used to play this game on a emulator on my 12 year old pc (it could barely run it) and i was always stuck in the last caves level. i loved to play it but then my pc died forever. in 2021 i got my switch for christmas (my mom never wanted to buy me games tho...). with the switch came a 12 months nintendo pass and thats where i realized i could play that game again. i beat it very easily this time. i enjoyed every second of any world, from the secret areas, to castles and the star road. i was so happy yet so sad to finish it and listen to this song. this goes both in my game history achivements and my heart.
Legit started crying when I finally beat this game 4 years ago. How time manages to fly by so fast.
Never forget this game, memories for life!
If the word Accomplishment had a fucking song to go with it........
it would be this one
Watch your fucking language, ya blithering asswipe. lol
So many memories...I used to play this with my dad all the time.
It’s 2021 and still don’t want this theme to never, ever end.
I like to imagine this as Bowser’s true death for the classic timeline. Everything after this is in a different timeline or just not canon all together.
Tantos recuerdos! Saludos desde 🇵🇦
i crying... so beautiful tune!
Nostalgia hits harder than before.
“The game is over, thanks for playing! It’s time to say goodbye, but we’ll see you again some day!”
The multiple crescendos really give you that sense of how things will be alright and we’ll be back to play again (ie another Mario game) soon. Koji Kondo is without a doubt, a/the god of game music.
Even though I've already finished this game several times, it still has a place in my heart.
I finally beat this game today after 8 years, and I can damn well say that the ending made me break down in tears of happiness.
1:46 its spring baby yoshis are being born!!
I was never good at any Mario game. But my brother and sisters were. I was always so happy to watch through it and beat it. My better childhood memories.
Most beautiful game I’ve ever played, it represented my childhood I would say.
Never thought this would sound so nostalgic, even a bit sad one day when I was a child.
Oh man, I remember beating the game first time. This ending was the most rewarding feeling ever
I get goosebumps down my entire body from this. I got a SNES when they first came out. It took 6 months to beat. Now I can do it in about 3 hours.
What I have to do when in the game appears "The End"? I pushed start and nothing happens
Cry isn't a option
Uh...you have to reset the game...and it doesn't save that you beat it.
Yeah. There ya go.
I just turn power off and on again that way I can beat bowser over and over again yes I’m lazy
What about Weep?
I’m afraid it’s your *only* option
reset the godamm game
the first half of this song and the mario 64 credits theme give off a sort of "don't be sad because it's over, smile because it happened" or something vibe and i love it
I beat this game in around 2019 or 2017 after finding my moms old Super Nintendo bundled with this game in box. This ending made me so happy. It was the first l console I had
I'm proud of you
