It demonstrates the vast complexity in fluid mechanics...how something we take for granted as "simple" like pouring water is almost infinitely complex. Fluid mechanics as an area of academic study really only developed into a mature branch of science within the last century or so. The invention of super-powerful digital cameras and UA-cam make it much easier for the general population to see how complex "simple things" really are. The problem is that without the tools of powerful digital cameras it's hard to see. Water being poured out happens so quick that we can't see all the beautiful detail of fluid dynamics...but if we slow it down 1000x and zoom in 10x...now we can see a beauty that we did not even consider was there.
