I was a small child when you came to the Frente de Lucha in Greeley CO. My mother was there listening and I was there in the crowd. This stuck to me! I am involved in the movement in Greeley. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm here as a Canadian who just saw Joe Biden's bust of Chavez in his new Oval Office. Heard of the name but never heard of the story. They don't teach that up here. This was not a top recommendation at all, sadly. Hope this talk and other documentaries (more than the 3 min long made for kids) get trending :)

UAW before strike breakers. Immigrants are 2nd.
My father was a UPW worker for 30 years. He helped get immigrants hired, and yes, now and then my Father used that term.
It was used, but it not in a demeaning manner .

My uncle marched and fought next to Ceasar Chavez,......He should be recognized and celebrated more often and taught,.......in Arizona, the Education Department is ran by those Foreigners who will not Honor Chavez in which he was actually Fighting for Everyone,.........Better Days Ahead,....!

I got a contact number for UFW from Angela Davis in the early 80s I contacted them to get help organizing illegal immigrants working on California horse racing tracks. But I was surprised and educated by UFW because they refused to work with illegal immigrants because Cesar believed that they would have different interest and destroy the union from within. Today UFW who represented the bulk of farm workers in California represents a mere 2% of the workers. Chavez was prophetic because he knew bringing them in would change the mission of what he wanted UFW to be the voice for American farm workers.
