    Nice job on the roofing paper. Hopefully you'll be able to install the metal before winter. Enjoy your young family, it is just a fleeting moment in the passing of time. Thank you for sharing with us.

    Incredible how that hammering echoes through the woods. In Hawkesbury area. Would love to move in your area one day. Not sure where, but I know it must be northern Ontario. Was thinking North Bay area.

    I give you an A for effort...but...You should have a 1x2 drip edge around the perimeter and the flashing should start at the bottom, on top of the paper, V-notched and bent around the corners. Always bend flashing around the corners, never square cut.

    • @homeypopem
      @homeypopem Рік тому

      Drip on the lowe portion should've gone on top of the felt right? Then metal will go on top of flashing?

    • @ZacVaper
      @ZacVaper Рік тому +1

      @@homeypopem Paper then flashing, which is metal, then the tiles/shingles.

    I'm obsessed with your cabin build series! Inspiring work! Was just curious about how you plan to take the roof apart in the future when you decide to move the cabin to it's final resting place? Seems pretty tedious with all necessary layers. Or does each side of the roof get transported as units?

    I didn’t see you put the drip guard up at the top that’s all well I’m fine and a good idea but when you’re doing the type of roof that you’re doing you should’ve let you drippage beer cap off for the top

    This kid is growing up too fast. Vid 31 she'll be hammering some stuff with nails haha.
    Will you be putting some gutters to fill in a water container (for a garden, for shower or washing dishes) ? Or will you be waiting to dismantle the cabin first for the small details ? Cheers.
