My best friend and I joined the Marine Corps together. He became a radio operator. He made it ten months but then got very messed up by an artillery shell booby trap. Although his injuries were life changing, he has made a good life for himself. He is a true hero. Although I was in the same area and I was a grunt, I was lucky and came home in one piece.

The combat radio man was the prime target for the enemy to kill. Much respect from a brother marine Nam point man. 👍🫡🇺🇲

"We called in wall to wall nape, 'cause we liked it and they hated it." Ha! I love this guys stories. He seems to have a good attitude talking about the most terrifying time of his life. Thanks Randy and TVE for the video.

Always like hearing from my fellow field radio operators! I remember being told during training in 85 about that short life expectancy and why. Semper Fi!

My old Leftist dad still criticises Vietnam Vets.
He lost his mind when I recently stated that the Democrats started the Vietnam War. 😂
