Someone gave me one of these, and it seems to work pretty good. I damaged the surface of the bone at the top of my tibia jumping down and it does make it feel better. So far.
I’m a big fan of heat + pulse for my knee with a worn out (degenerative) medial and patellar capsules. I used the Heat Pulse generation 1 for a year, liking it so much I eagerly bought the HP 2, which was supposed to be warmer and longer battery life. Unfortunately the 2 didn’t work well out of the box, the control/battery attaching poorly to pad. They replaced it and the new one worked better and I got used to having to adjust my leg position and reattaching the control unit (common enough that there are FAQ instructions on their website about a common error). But after 10 months of daily use for recovery, the HP 2 function has incrementally degraded. The positioning has to be just right, it barely heats. I’d guess it’s a quality issue with the wiring to the pad units battery terminals. It’s probably related to how hot the battery connection gets at top settings. There are times when I’ve touched the terminals and thought wow that could burn someone if they weren’t careful. At the end of the day, it’s a great therapy tool but with a relatively short lifespan (10 months daily use).
Is the soothing effect a one time thing or not ? Does the pain get lesser and lesser after each time you using it? Like it can really help you to heal or just giving the temporary soothing effect
What sort of battery is installed in the control pod - is it li-ion or NiCad or what? Can the battery be replaced? Can spare control pods be purchased? I ask this because it seems such a waste of the whole thing has to be scrapped due to a failing battery.
in terms of noise, when it is massaging I would describe it as similar to when a cell phone vibrates when it is on silent. Also, the massage that it produces is more of a vibrating/pulsing feel as well. Not a kneading sensation you might expect out of a massage but that's ok as where it is around the knee the area can be pretty sensitive for some
Very interesting question. I have not had the opportunity to try any other products that do the same thing, so I would not be able to make a fair comparison. But am always open to suggestions.
Thanks. It was really helpful. I bought it for my mom but I was not sure about the recovery. Love from India 😊❤
Glad I could help!

Does this make noise? also, still don't get what type of massage this feels like. Thanks for answering.

Too small, not big enough
Sorry to hear that. Are there other products out there in the market that may work? I’ve not had the chance to look around
