Brother Bill Rose with the Highway 1016 Holiness congregation: "I'll Live in Glory"(Berea, KY)

- 1977 recording captured live by a member of the 1016 Holiness Church in Berea, Kentucky. Here we have the late Brother Bill Rose performing 'I'll Live Glory,' a song which appeared roughly a decade earlier on his debut lp, 'Mother Is Old.' It's impossible to know everyone backing Bill during this particular performance, but the corresponding picture above(taken in the late 60s) depicts Bill's cousin and 1016 regular, the lovely Ve Ron Moore(Lamb) who was gracious enough to lend me these recordings. It also shows Ve Ron's Brother(and Bill's cousin), the late Hesmer Rose, with whom Ve Ron recorded a 45 at Baron Studios circa 1968(see my previous uploads). I hope to upload more from some of these tapes in the future, but this one struck me the most. Hope you enjoy.

Yes, been to 1016 many times. I’d love to hear and possibly get digital copies of these tapes. Br Bill and Christine used to come and hold revivals at the church I grew up in. My uncle was the pastor there, Raleigh Isaacs. I have several tapes from the 70s when going to church was like this.

I read where God doesn't change, and he has no respect of person, we can still Have shout down, Holy Roller meetings, but it still takes praying and living sanctified lives just like the old timers did..because GOD doesn't change, we have!
