Wow, I wasn't expecting seeing you here, I honestly love this song too, but I would recommend you to search for the cry version, it is really really good also, I would even say that is better than this one.
This song is incredibly underrated imo. The balance and harmony between Aimer and Chelly is seamless all the way through. Honestly gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

***** Even if I didn't really liked SnK (it's a nice anime btw), SnK was way better than this one. Zero originality, the characters were bad, the story was so boring (if there was a story). I was 18 when I first heard this song from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and immediately fell in love with Aimer's voice. Now 25 and hearing the first drop beat of the instrumentals after years gave me chills and made me teary eyes. Amazing how I still know every lyrics and beat even tho I haven't heard this song for years! ICONIC.
It's been 7 years and I'm only now finding this song. Somehow it makes me feel nostalgic... Definitely one of my all time favorite songs. I keep coming back to this and Kataomoi when I'm feeling down or out of it. The combination of her voice and the instrumentals always help. They just feel... gentle/smooth, for lack of a better word.

Someone from 2024 who remembers this beautiful melody from a very old anime that everyone should remember. I watched it since I was little, I was 10 or 11 years old. I saw it now. I'm 16 and I remembered that anime because of the music🥺
Every time I listen to this song, it just sends chills down my spine. And the video, from greenhouse to the universe, above and beyond, to where all the life began, in the stars, is equally amazing. To top it all off, the drum beat preceding the last chorus coincides with a supernova in the video. Supernovae are highly destructive events that also scatter building blocks of new star systems all over the universe, the pinnacle of destruction/creation duality. I was 18 when I first heard this song from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and immediately fell in love with Aimer's voice. Now 25 and hearing the first drop beat of the instrumentals after years gave me chills and made me teary eyes. Amazing how I still know every lyrics and beat even tho I haven't heard this song for years! ICONIC.

Definitely one of my all time favorite songs. I keep coming back to this and Kataomoi when I'm feeling down or out of it. The combination of her voice and the instrumentals always help. They just feel... gentle/smooth, for lack of a better word.

Answer : Because of an certain accident, she lost her voice for a while. Although she can't speak, she remains focused on music.After a few years her voice was fully recovered, she was determined to pursue her music career. Because of that reason she decided not to show her face but to show her voice. She's stated in an interview that she wants people to appreciate the music and not the girl behind the mic.
