That's a nice looking Condor. Yes, making fires is therapeutic. I like to sit in my chair & shave fatwood. The pine smell is great & who doesn't have fun striking up a fire? 🔥
Yeah William you said it best buddy!!!!! I have to much to do around the homestead today to mess around with starting a fire but I don’t have a doubt it’s going to shave wood and feather like a bitch!!!!!! I guess stay tuned!!!!! Do you know who Jim Skelton is???
Those Condor knives seem to come with really nice sheaths. Great looking knife too! Thanks for sharing this one, buddy. Looking forward to seeing you make a fire with it!
Making the leather happy - the Bob Ross of knife sheaths. Seriously, I have both the standard and the mini. Each has its own strengths. I wouldn't want to have to choose between them.
Always like to see a new Condor showcase..that is a fatwood processing beauty...enjoy brother, All those Ups fedex people are working hard this time of year
Are you not going to wet form the sheath? This was based on the late Alan Wood’s Woodlore knife. Originals sell for many hundreds of £s. Probably the best knives in this style made today are by Sandy Jack in Wiltshire, England. I’ve been after one of his knives for years. He doesn’t take orders, but last week he said I could buy one of the batch he’s currently working on! I had the Condor sitting in my basket for the last few weeks, but I already have and Arthur Wright Bushcrafter, a Fallkniven Embla, a few Puukkos and now the Jacklore on its way. I’ll get some mink oil!
That is a good looking Condor knife. Looks like a great convex Scandi grind. I am surprised you didn't get the balm from Joe at Lancelot Leather as he has a product that is great for leather.
I don't have a baby around, so i went to the shops and took a random baby out of a pushcart to see how smooth it's hiney was. I tell ya Pete buddy it was smooth but i got in a lot of trouble; pitchforks, burning stakes. Advice from me; don't try that! Lol. Oh Scandi grinds are the best for feathersticking. I hope you have fun with that buddy.
I Don care ih it stiff i haw was it with bee oil just that rain can't go in and apsorpe lether. And I made litle micro bewel . Its good knife for the price it worth the money
any high end sheath is NOT soft... moisturising the leather is fine, tryn make sheath soft not good idea... reason the knife stay tight in sheath cuz the leather remains stiff... best luk
