Great video, good to see you back again, love the way you handle all the parts with tweezers and peg stick only without touching parts, true professional work, something you don't see every day. end results on timegrapher is the best i have ever seen for Venus 188. please post more video. You are few youtubers i would watch whole video.

Thank you, using tweezer and peg, without touching the parts with your finger can be difficult task, that's old school method of handling. That's how I was trained by a local watchmaker who was 91 years old back in 2003, I was 13 years old back then. He taught me a lot with old fashion methods, and I still carry it to this day. I still have his 1950s Bandelin Tickoprint Timegarpher machine. I will make a video about that in the future. I will do my best to make and upload more videos. I'm a full time watchmaker, so it can be hard. Thanks for watching it.

Love it! I will be referring to this quite a bit. :). Question - was the beat error 0 when you put it back together, or did you have to adjust it? And if you did have to adjust, was there any trick? (I ask because the beat regulator on these isn't adjustable...)

Thank Stefan, I can't remember after service if the beat error was still 0.0ms like it was before the service. if it did it probably went to 0.2ms after service and then I adjust the collect slightly with a pin oiler.
if vintage watches are not at 0.0ms beat error, I always adjust it, The trick is if it doesn't have a beat error regulator arm, you will have to do the old fashion way, which is to just adjust the collet very slightly. This will takes a lot of time and a lot of attempts too. very risky to avoid damaging the hairspring. I have finished making a video Omega 344 for overhaul service, I had to adjust the collet to get a 0.0ms beat error more than 22 times. That's how frustrating it can be sometimes. Hope this helps.

If you have any questions, please do comments in this section here. This was filmed in August 2021 during lockdown time.
    1. I add Breitling Venus 188 name and number parts to make it easier for views that's needs
For example if you need to get Hammer head and number is 8220. You search for Venus 188-8220 and you should able to find specific parts for your need. I hope this helps.

Hi, i'm your new subscriber, I have a question, on 10.36, do both stones always have the same measurement or different, which means you have to keep adjusting it until it ticks when in operation in the movement?

The both impulse jewel are the same size, length, width and thickness. Both must facing the opposite. I only adjust the depth in the pallet fork prong and leave atlease 1mm out and then apply heated shellac.
Hope this makes sense. Thank you for watching and subscribing.
      Kind regards
      Mat

Great video, its a shame that Bergeon winders and Hand tightener are over £4,000. I wish I had the money to spend.

Yes indeed, Watchmaking tools are very expensive! So far cost me £23K or more, But if you do watch technician only, tools would be a lot cheaper since you don't need all the tools like watchmakers does,
