Being a smaller dude there is no way I can dip without bonking my head on the rack. Along with the fact that dipping heavy feels just awful on these facing either direction. I built my own out of wood and steel pipe, width is perfect for me, and it's sturdy as hell. It was pretty cheap to make too.
Every gym should replace such bars. Would be a dream.

I trained too long with a v-station and now straight bars (the ones where you mount your feet on the sides) feel uncomfortable when I dip heavy
These usually also have a way to thin bar, feels very unstable.
dips are usually 42mm in diameter, why are these 50mm?
